Hello y’all! I’m Aspen (he/they)! I’m an autistic writer and a huge nerd.
This is a blog where I talk about whatever hyperfixation I have, other than Grimm or DC since I have seperate side blogs for those. I do have quite a few fics, so if you’re interested, my AO3 name is AspenLovesStars (It used to be GoatinaCoat).
I also talk about some of my original stories on here too, as eventually I’ll finish something and publish.

So, here’s chapter 8. Please ignore the fact that the title is so similar to chapter 7. I’m struggling okay? It is hot and chapter titles are harder than they need to be and I may just give up and either stop or just start doing stupid chapter titles because I think it would be funny.

Okay so, I realised Shifted Gaze Jon and Helen have the perfect set up for a really fun dynamic.
Like, Helen is struggling to adjust to her knew self and Jon is just…not having a good time, but they are both manipulators who don’t want to be what they are and they understand each other.
Jon has been fighting becoming a full avatar for so long but he knows he is one bad day away from it, and Helen wasn’t really supposed to become the Distortion to begin with she was simply there at the right time.
They bond I am so excited for what I can do with this for season 4. I started writing the scene and I was like wait a minute they’re actually really similar and now I have thoughts.

I am still procrastinating finishing the last 2 original statements I need to do in the first half of Shifted Gaze s3 but I am making progress lol.
I got to write a scene I have been desperate to write for ages that I’m not going to talk about because I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but I am now on the chapter where Sasha has a chat with Gerry, which in this story is different due to Jon’s history with Gerry and it is very fun. Also, Sasha is so funny to me with Julia and Trevor because she’s just entirely stopped caring about staying alive she just wants answers and she is also just kinda vibing the whole time.
Also, I need y’all to know s3 is absolutely going to go over 30,000 words which for me is insane. I have like 10 and a half chapters left to write plus multiple original statements left to do and I’m at 26000 words.
This has definitely been my favouirte to write, especially the back half. I get to write so much angst I am having the time of my life. Sasha’s making bad life decisions, Jon is losing what little humanity he has left, Tim and Martin are just really not having a good time and Melanie makes a poor life decision and regrets it very quickly.
I can’t wait to get further into s3 because I have so many parts I think y’all are going to enjoy but I don’t want to spoil. I actually need to start properly thinking about s4 too lol. I actually can’t believe I’m almost at s4. That’s wild.
