It would depend on whether or not I got the new magic in addition to or instead of my current magic. As well as, I suppose, what the new magic was. I find it hard to imagine one, but I'm sure there are things worse than what I have. Magic is pretty limitless, after all.

Considering how troublesome living and death magic are for everyone involved, the "science" behind them, if you will, is surprisingly simple. For living magic, it's a basic question of "is it alive." If the object in question is not currently alive, it doesn't really matter if it ever was or not, living magic will still work. The inverse is true for death magic. I wouldn't recommend bringing anyone back to life that way, of course -- or any way, really, it's generally a terrible idea -- but the option is still there.

((OH BOY! Answering this one as an OoC because I actually have a theory about this. I’m not entirely sure I subscribe to it, but it’s an idea that I think has at least some merits and would be rather impressive if it happens.Considering the most recent chapters, I first felt suspicious of Zeref’s dealings with his own demons when they expressed their want to rejoin him — which must have meant that they were acting independently of him. This was more-or-less confirmed in the following chapter, so good on me for that. But the idea that spawned from that realization was much more interesting.What if this is actually just a very elaborate suicide plan?Now, bear with me. Zeref’s demons may not rely on actual magic, as they claim that curses work differently than magic, but that’s not to say the same for Zeref, who’s power most likely originates from actual magic. So if FACE is activated, then he will also probably lose his magic. The result of which would be a pretty severe domino effect. Things that stem from his magic, such as, say, HIS DEMONS, would be broken off from him and probably cease to exist. Additionally, Zeref’s immortality, which is the effect of his magic, would no longer keep him alive. And Acnologia would no longer be a dragon.If we assume that Zeref is still not what one would call “evil,” but rather, “vengeful,” then we can see the current situation as a win/win scenario for him. If FACE is activated, then he loses everything, and all the evil that relies on him does as well. If it is not, and the FT guild finds him first, they will defeat him, and the same result is obtained. So he’s found a way to save everyone through severe destruction first.Again, I’m not saying I subscribe to this theory, and it is all VERY speculative, but I like thinking up possibilities for things, so yeah.Also I’m just now noticing that this was probably a more general, less specifically aimed at Zeref question, so… ahahaha. I may have made the spell too strong, though, since I cast it a few hundred years ago and haven't had any issues. I'm a firm believer in not getting new clothes until you need them so... Oh, though I do have some skills with a needle and thread, in case anything does happen. Going into a town or city for new clothing is a little impossible for me, afterall, haha.

I don't think I have much choice in the matter, though.

Making them more human might be a bit difficult, though. Especially in the personality part.
