((SO we might as well start with the biggest and Worst fusion, right? iiit’s uranium!

yes, i know uranium’s not a gemstone, but a fusion of these two couldn’t be anything else and fusions name themselves anyway so here he is in all his radioactive glory.

uranium is the largest two-gem fusion of the cast so far, much bigger than what would be the minimum size for a fusion between an apatite and a pyrite. you can’t contain a personality as obnoxious as his in a small fusion, i guess.

uranium can spit acid from both of his mouths and often drools acid from one or both of them. he is extremely destructive, narcissistic and loathe to unfuse, which is a really bad combination!

((ok so i dunno if anyone still cares about this blog but for some reason i felt compelled to redesign my yoggems after like 3 years of inactivity, which i’m sorry for! life and university and a general lack of inspiration got in the way.

the end of SU sort of partly prompted this i guess? since it means no more big surprises in terms of lore/new gem reveals except from the games (which i don’t play so tbh i’m gonna ignore them).

outfits, gemstones, and some body types have been redesigned, as well as some fusions not present here. everyone is the same gem apart from sips, who used to be a zircon and is now an apatite because the lawyer gems were revealed to be zircons. as a reminder;

honeydew - sunstone

nanosounds - lavender chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz)

sips - apatite

lalna - smithsonite

sjin - pyrite

xephos - moonstone

rythian - onyx

lomadia - aventurine (quartz)

zoey and fiona are missing for now, pending redesign finalisation.

i’ve also had a rethink of the situation they would all be in, the time the askblog would be set in, and their homeworld-assigned ranks/roles, but that’s for another post. for now, they are all homeworld gems. i’ll post some fusions if anyone’s interested and i guess i’m still happy to take some asks if people have them!

i’d also just like to say to anyone that is thinking about/in the process of making/has already made fanart but not posted it, that while i’m very grateful for fanart and usually would love to see it, i’d really prefer it if you didn’t make fanart of certain ships in the context of this blog specifically. if you wanna make your own yoggems and do your own ships that’s fine, i don’t care (although we may have to figure out how to share the tag!), but please don’t use my specific yoggems if you’re going to do that. i put a lot of time and thought and effort into making them, they’re mine.

none of the fanart i’ve received so far has featured any ships i have a problem with (you can stop sweating @ryanthemememan), but in future i’d really prefer it if you asked me first if you’re gonna make art featuring a specific ship/pairing!

it’s up to date as of the day/time of this post, but i’ll probably repost it after a while to update any major changes. most of these fusions haven’t happened yet in the canon events/timeline of the askblog; in fact, the vast majority of them haven’t even been designed yet! but they will be, and i’ll be posting all of their official design sheets as and when the fusions are introduced (which means labradorite’s design sheet is coming soon!)

some of them already have old designs over on my art blog, but they’ll all be getting at least a slight revamp due to the design changes i’ve made to the yoggems since then. you’re welcome to go take a look, though!
