“Now that your done with your studies at Ravenwood, where do you intend to go,” asked Mrs. McCleanly. Mrs. McCleanly was Count Morgrim Von Thunder’s lifelong housekeeper. She was in charge of cooking, cleaning, and being his confidant. Knowing him since he was born she is like a mother to him, even before his biological one had passed. “I do have a business to run still,” he reminded her as he ate his breakfast. “What about Roslyn? Are you going to ask her to marry you anytime soon,” She asked as the Count inhaled a fork full of eggs, he choked as she stood there awaiting the answer to her question. Catching his breath and straightening the tie of his new business suit he answered, “I, if you must know, have thought about asking since graduation. In fact you know I’ve asked her in the past.” “She said no because she wanted to get through her studies at Ravenwood. But now that she’s finished and graduated, like you, will you ask her again?” Rubbing his chin he sighed and stood from the table, “I’ll be right back.” Coming back downstairs a few minutes later, Morgrim stood in front of his housekeeper with a ivory tusk carved box. “I know that I am not a very traditional man, but I didn’t want my Mirage heritage to be obliterated. So I had to do some traditional things for this particular ring. In Mirage if you’re royalty, as I could have been, you’re supposed to give your affianced a very special ring. “You must find a supernatural crafter who will work with the fires of starlight, to affix a pink star diamond, and have the ring blessed by your forefathers.” Blinking a bit she asked, “Is that all? You don’t have to sacrifice Moolinda Wu to it or something ridiculous?” Becoming straight faced he retorted, “Well now that you mention it-” “-Is it pretty”, she sighed. Huffing Morgrim opened up the box and inside laid an intricately braided silver band with about half a dozen small silver flowers, pink jewels were the center of each of the flowers, and even though it was intricate, it wasn’t bulky. Morgrim looked over to see Mrs. McCleanly balling with tears as she pronounced, “She’d love it!”
