Bandor: We didn’t when we were younger, but... Nowadays it seems like it’s happening a lot more often.

I’m not sure if having them being embedded is the problem or not, but just in case I have the full URLs typed out. (We just posted about hate and shared a link to our rules page. It’s the third post down when you go to the blog’s page right now. It would take two seconds to click the icon and scroll to find it.

I have to ask this: what were you hoping for with this ask? For us to show the characters reacting and being horrified? Because if you dislike season 8 that much in the first place, what is the purpose of bringing it into this blog that is not following that canon?

We don’t have anything related to season 8 on this blog, so if you don’t like it you should already be satisfied. Why attempt to bring it up at all? The only reason I can tell is to have us bash on it. Which we don’t plan on doing because we respect the original and the crew, whether we like season 8 or not.

We made this abundantly clear, and we also brought up that we don’t want people trying to give compliments or praise to our blog through comments tearing down the original source material. Because praise tearing down another creator is rude and backhanded.

This type of question does nothing but try to spread more hate or vindicate those who already hate the final season, when our goal as a blog is to tell a story with respect to the original while exploring aspects we, the creators of the blog, want to explore outside of canon.

There is no point in sending these questions if you dislike season 8 and want something different. All it does is try to bring the thing you hate into focus rather than enjoying the story that is separate from it.

So on top of the specification against backhanded compliments from that reminder of the rules post: if you plan on sending questions that imply aspects of season 8 in an attempt to bait or goad us into insulting or hating on it, such as “this universe was terrible” or other references to season 8 being terrible, don’t bother. Because you will be ignored and your question will be deleted.

Olia: I mean... Headaches, yeah, on occasion. But that isn’t too strange, those just happen sometimes. 

Ozar: Yeah. He doesn’t get them any more or less than anyone else- at least around here, with all the stress. With his background, it wouldn’t be surprising if it got to him a little more than others.

Olia: Definitely. He’s been through a lot. But nothing really stands out as out of the ordinary for him.

Admin Sunset here, on behalf of myself and Admin Mani. Recent events have caused a spike in hate and toxic behavior towards the staff of the show, and as a result we thought it would be important to give everyone a reminder of one of the rules of our blog. If you have not already seen our rules page, a link is here.

If you are dissatisfied with the ending of the show, or how the show has been handled overall, that is understandable and valid. It is ok to express that dissatisfaction reasonably and discuss it. There were a lot of things that both of us were also not happy with.

However, we will not tolerate people who take their anger out on the cast and crew of the show. If you have harassed or spread hate towards them in an attempt to do harm - through verbal harassment or physical threats - we don’t want you on our blog.

There is a line between venting your anger or disappointment and trying to discredit or do harm to the content creators that gave you the show you claim to love. If there are issues that you have, they can be discussed in a calm and reasonable manner without attacking them. 

This blog is a creative work done out of love and respect for the original creative team that worked to give us the show, and a way to explore different directions we wish the show could have gone. That is what makes fanworks like AUs, fanart, fanfic and so on so great: we can explore things we wish could have happened with freedom the original team didn’t have, and make it totally appeal to our on interests. That’s why those things exist. 

If you came to this blog with the mindset of hate towards the original story and it’s creative team, then this is not the place for you. If they hadn’t created the show, admin mani and I wouldn’t have been able to make this blog in the first place.

In addition, there’s been a trend of comments on our posts that while may be intended to be compliments, are very disrespectful and backhanded in the way of insulting the original creators writing. As content creators, when praise comes at the expense of insulting other creators to make our work appear better by comparison, it feels very disrespectful and back-handed, whether the intent was genuinely good or not. Compliments shouldn’t come at the expense of tearing someone else down.

Plaxum: I, um... I don’t know where this came from or who’s asking... B-but it;s pretty common knowledge at this point, so I guess it’s okay. In order to make the Castle of Lions more accessible to my people, as well as any other species that depended on water. Since the Castle of Lions is at the center of the Coalition, after all, a lot of varying people from varying planets are going to need to be accommodated.

That and a lot of planets’ have had people branching out and staying on Pollux, ever since it was declared the Coalition’s new capital. Some refugees are still on Olkari, but they’ve been spreading between the two planets since construction on Pollux began.

Oh! I also have a chair for areas that are unreachable with the waterways. It was designed by Slav before the waterways were constructed.
