Hmph.
“Hmph?”
“I…”
“I don’t know what to do anymore.”
Ann breathed slow, and sat next to the man. After a few moments of picking at her skirt, she spoke again. “I think… It doesn’t really matter, does it? After so much suffering, you finally have a chance to live for yourself.” She extended a hand between them, palm up. “So… You want to finally take that trip to Alara? Or… I’ve got a few new friends I’m sure would want to meet you…”
Sarkhan rolled his neck until it cracked. “Hm. Alara. I will consider it. I haven’t been there since…well. You know.”
He glanced over at Ann. “Who are these new people?”
