Prophetbot’s Story

Roleplay Break is now over. It is officially time for SEASON II of askprophetbot!

I have a few asks from before / during the break that I’ll use to get us started, and we’ll be (hopefully) right back into the swing of things!

I don’t remember shit, so without referencing the old pinned post, there will be some important stuff under the cut!

(…Wow, there are a lot of Characters in this timeline. I guess I should start with Prophetbot…)

Greetings, Prophetbot. You may call me the Mapmaker. I am on a journey to map all currently known timelines and learn about their residents. I hope you would not mind providing answers to a few questions about yourself and your world.

Interview: Prophetbot

I have noticed that you are very distant from where you are usually stationed. Have you, by any chance, been tamed?

Unfortunately, I have not been tamed.

I will neither confirm nor deny this happened.

Magpie waves his arms dramatically and...

It uhh... it isn't doing anything.

Ugh. SHEPHERD!!! FIX THE DOOR PLEASE!!

Magpie, we are still working on the automatic door. You'll have to turn the handle for now.

Oh.

Open the door for me. I want this to be dramatic.

The Shepherd Sighs and says sarcastically: Yes sir. Right away sir.

Magpie waves his arms as the shepherd opens the door, revealing an almost futuristic room. The room is divided in two, by a large glass wall. A large shelf full of several gadgets and gizmos takes up most of the far wall.

Welcome, you two, to Magpie's Future Gadget Lab, and Treasure Vault! This is where we store all of the unknown devices, and known devices, that arrive via the spikes!

All of this came from the spikes? I don't recognize half of this stuff,

And that's why all of this stuff is so cool! Come check some of this out!

Magpie rushes over to the shelves excitedly, and holds up a large white gadget. The center glass tube glows a light blue.

I call this one the "Hole Blaster"! It blasts holes and then you can walk through them! It's great. Or I assume it would be if it worked anymore. Someone touched the operational end of the device and it broke. BUT LOOK AT THIS ONE!!!

Magpie rushes over and picks up a bucket.

This, is a BUCKET!!!!

Dear C:// drive!

You know it says here this bucket is the property of someone called "Stan Lee". I can't read but that's what Calamus told me it said.

IT'S MINE NOW!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! Anyways look at these!

Magpie pulls out two different sized metal tubes. The tip of the smaller one glows a bright blue, while the larger one has a deep recession in the top.

Ok so these two look pretty similar but are really different.

Magpie holds up the small glowing one

This one, when i turn it on, makes a really loud noise. Ready?

Magpie turns it on, and it makes a high pitched noise.

Magpie turns a dial on the device and points it at prophetbot, then turning it on

Yeah he's fine. Anyways, look at this other one! This one makes extra light!

Magpie turns on the second metal rod, and from the hole in the rod comes a long beam of light, that ends at a point. Magpie waves it around estatically.

SUPER DUPER GLOWSTICK! Perfect for lighting up dark areas.

May I see?

NO! IT'S MINE! YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!

Plus, you might break something. I think this thing took an arm off of Remige earlier. I could be wrong though.

What does this one do? Silver points to a metallic box plugged into one of many outlets.

That's a toaster. It turns bread into toast. I don't even know why that's in here.

Sigh. Of course...

I know you lot already have much on your plate, but please exercise more caution than you already have been.

...Of course, I doubt any of you would be surprised.

A plague? I haven't heard of no plague. SHEPHERD! HAVE YOU HEARD OF A PLAGUE?

I have not. The only plague here is the high fever my rams have been catching. A shame. Truly a shame.

That chair does not seem comfortable in the slightest.

Yes, well, it's about this Phantom character. I believe they're somehow controlling the spikes and using them to their advantage.

And as much as I want to learn how to teleport like that, it's most likely also the root cause of our spike problems.

And because you two happen to be here, i'm tasking you two with going to find and stop this phantom fellow.

I suppose that's fair, but how do you propose we do that?

Well, i've been reading over your prophecies. "While robots discuss trivialities, the power in danger, the phantom unseen." I don't know about you, but I think this is pretty self-explanatory. I think this phantom fellow is-

They must be going after the glen's power generator!

Well, I was going to suggest they were after the sun, but that makes a little bit more sense.

The Power Generator? Why would they want that?

You know, I actually have no clue. Apart from taking away our power I wouldn't know any motive for them. Plus, by going after the main generator, they wouldn't take away our power here. We run off a different generator completely.

Regardless of motives, I think we should get you all a bit more equipped. Who knows what you'll get into.
