Paul McCartney

I’m Paul McCartney, and I’ve been told this is where people can send in questions and all sorts of things, which sounds a bit unusual — but I’m willing to give it a go.

We’ve been doing quite a lot of talking lately. Interviews, press, the usual, and I thought it might be nice to try something a little more... direct. Or at least as direct as one can be without getting into too much trouble.

I was also told to include a few “facts” about myself, which feels a bit unnecessary — some of you seem to know quite a lot about me than myself, but alright;

• Band: The Beatles

• Instruments: Bass, guitar, piano… whatever’s about

• Likes: A good tune, a proper cup of tea, a laugh

• Dislikes: Being called the “Cute Beatle”

• Special skill: Writing pretty neat songs!

That should do before it turns into a school report.

Blimey, that’s a bit deep for a Thursday, isn’t it?

Oh, Jane? Well, she’s a lovely girl, really. Very talented, very clever, and she’s got her own thing going on, which I think is important. She’s an actress, and a very good one at that — not just because people know her name, but because she actually puts a lot into what she does.

She’s in quite a different world from mine, really. It’s nice, that. Jane’s also very funny, which helps. You need that, especially with everything being a bit mad at the moment.

But yes, she’s wonderful. I’d rather not make it sound like I’m writing a review of her, though. She’s a person, not a magazine article. She’d probably tell me off for making it too sentimental anyway.
