Instead, your focus shifts when you hear someone calling a name from your list. You turn to see a young man running from bullies, and a sense of duty compels you to act. The void has granted you abilities, but their nature remains a mystery. Are you a trait stealer? Are you a body swapper? Are you a reality changer? Maybe a deal maker? Nevertheless, you feel that you'll soon uncover your new purpose.
Many philosophers have pondered the meaning of life, but the answer is simple ... is just to live. Although now, you find yourself detached from this need, for you have become immortal, a servant of the void. Your purpose now lies in helping those who have lost their way or who are seeking the meaning of life, guiding those deemed worthy and punishing those who must learn.
In your relentless pursuit of life's meaning, you have transcended the need for an answer. You are now tasked with teaching others for all of humanity's time on Earth. With this new burden, I must ask ... was it worth it?
