And I just keep thinking Katie Barton would be like... đ
What are some oneshots you guys would like to read about katie (with or without her parents)?
a.k.a send me some prompts bc i feel like writing
The apartment was quiet, save for the soft creak of the rocking chair and the rhythmic hush of Natashaâs voice as she whispered to the tiny, swaddled bundle in her arms.
Katie was barely a day oldâsmall, warm, and fragile in a way that made Natashaâs heart ache. Her little face was relaxed in sleep, her tiny fingers curled against Natashaâs chest, as if she already knew this was where she belonged.
It was their first night home, and Natasha should have been trying to sleep while she had the chance, but she couldnât bring herself to put Katie down just yet.
The weight of her daughter in her arms was too new, too precious.
A soft rustle from the doorway made Natasha look up.
Liho sat there, her black fur blending into the shadows, her golden eyes fixed on the small bundle in Natashaâs arms. Her tail flicked once, cautious, but she didnât move forward.
Natasha huffed out a soft breath. âSo you finally decided to check out the new family member, huh?â
Liho had been keeping her distance all day, slinking around the edges of the apartment, watching but never getting too close. Natasha hadnât pushed herâshe knew her cat well enough to let her set her own pace.
Now, though, Liho took a tentative step forward, her ears flicking as she peered at the tiny human in Natashaâs arms.
âSheâs small, isnât she?â Natasha murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. âSmaller than I expected.â
Katie stirred slightly, a soft little sigh leaving her lips.
Lihoâs tail twitched.
Natasha adjusted her hold just a little, tilting Katie so that her tiny face was more visible. âCome on, Liho. Say hello.â
Liho hesitated for just a second longer, then leapt up onto the arm of the chair, careful and deliberate. She stayed there, keeping a respectful distance, but leaned in just slightly, nose twitching as she sniffed at the air between them.
âSheâs gonna be your friend too, you know,â Natasha murmured, stroking Lihoâs soft fur with one hand.
Liho let out a low, considering mrrp, then hopped down onto Natashaâs lap, curling up right against her.
Natasha smiled.
âYeah,â she murmured, looking down at both of them. âI think sheâs gonna fit in just fine.â
Iâd love if you could write a fic where Katie is a few months old and sick (not seriously maybe just a cold or an ear infection). Nat and Clint have a night where theyâre up with her all night because sheâs crying and sick. Nat is rocking her in her arms while Clint warms a bottle up or something. Just domestic clintasha one night featuring their poor lil sick baby girl. Fluffy parent clintasha :) thank yooou xx
The baby monitor crackled to life with the sound of Katieâs cries, sharp and miserable in the quiet of the apartment. Natasha was already awakeâshe had been for a while, listening to her daughter toss and turn, sniffling through her blocked nose.
Now, with her wailing in full force, Natasha was already moving before Clint could even groan awake beside her.
âI got her,â she murmured, pressing a quick kiss to his shoulder as she slipped out of bed.
Clint groaned again, rubbing his face. âYou sure?â
âIâm already up.â
She stepped into Katieâs nursery, where their tiny, red-faced daughter was lying in her crib, fists clenched, looking utterly miserable. Natashaâs heart ached instantly.
âHey, babyâŚâ she murmured, scooping Katie up into her arms. The moment she did, Katie turned her face against her chest, still sniffling, her cries hiccuping into little whimpers. Her skin was warm, her little nose pink from rubbing against the blankets.
An ear infection. Thatâs what the doctor had said earlier in the day. Not serious, but uncomfortable, especially for someone so small.
Natasha swayed on instinct, rubbing small circles into Katieâs back. âI know, I know, detka. Itâs not fair, huh?â
Katie sniffled and whimpered again.
Behind her, Clint shuffled into the room, half-asleep but awake enough to function.
âHowâs our little archer?â he asked, voice thick with exhaustion.
âUnhappy,â Natasha murmured.
âI hear that.â Clint ran a hand through his messy hair, then yawned. âIâll warm up a bottle. Maybe itâll help settle her.â
Natasha nodded, and Clint disappeared into the kitchen, leaving her alone with Katie again.
She pressed a kiss to her daughterâs forehead, gently bouncing her. âYou know,â she murmured, âyouâre lucky youâre cute, because otherwise, your papa and I would be very grumpy about staying up all night.â
Katie shifted, blinking up at her, her big, glassy eyes searching Natashaâs face like she was taking in every word.
Natasha sighed, kissing the tiny furrow between her brows. âFine. Iâd still love you, even if you werenât cute.â
Clint returned a few minutes later, bottle in hand. âAlright, little lady, letâs see if this helps.â
They settled onto the couch togetherâNatasha cradling Katie while Clint handed over the bottle. Katie, for all her fussing, latched onto it immediately, her little hands clutching at Natashaâs fingers.
For a few blissful moments, there was silence.
Clint exhaled, resting his head against the back of the couch. âMan. I thought staying up all night on missions was bad. This is way worse.â
Natasha huffed out a quiet laugh, shifting Katie so she could stroke her tiny curls. âAt least no one is shooting at us.â
âYet,â Clint muttered.
They sat in companionable exhaustion, watching as Katieâs blinking slowed, her little body relaxing as the warmth of the milk and Natashaâs touch soothed her.
By the time she finished, her breathing had evened out, her tiny fingers still curled around Natashaâs thumb.
Natasha exhaled softly. âFinally.â
Clint grinned. âThink we can sneak her back into the crib without waking her up?â
Katie let out a sudden loud sneeze, startling both of them.
Clint groaned. âIâll make coffee.â
Natasha sighed, shifting Katie more securely in her arms. âYeah. Weâre not sleeping tonight.â
But as she looked down at her peaceful, sleeping daughter, warm and safe in her arms, she thoughtâ
Maybe that was okay.
*This one is written in the universe Katie originally comes from in the comics, where Kate died.
Katie sat cross-legged on the couch, her tiny hands gripping the stuffed bear Bucky had given her. She looked up at her dad, her nose scrunched in deep thought. âDaddy?â
Clint glanced up from restringing his bow. âYeah, bug?â
âWhyâs my name Katie?â
He blinked, caught off guard by the sudden question. Natasha, who had been curled up in the chair nearby, put down her book and watched quietly.
âWell,â Clint said, setting the bow aside and leaning forward. âYouâre named after someone really special.â
Katieâs eyes widened. âWho?â
Clint hesitated, glancing at Natasha. She gave him a small nod. They had always known this moment would come.
âHer name was Kate Bishop,â Clint said gently. âShe was my partner.â
Katie tilted her head. âLike Mommyâs partner?â
âYeah,â Clint said, smiling faintly. âLike that. We fought side by side. She was smart, stubborn, and really good with a bow.â
Katie grinned. âLike me?â
He ruffled her hair. âExactly like you.â
âWhat happened to her?â
There it was. The question he dreaded.
Clint swallowed hard, feeling Natashaâs presence beside him. âShe was a hero, just like your mom and me. And sometimes⌠heroes donât always make it home.â
Katieâs tiny fingers curled into her bearâs fur. âOh.â
For a moment, she was quiet, processing. Then she straightened up, her little chin lifting in determination. âWas she brave?â
âThe bravest,â Natasha said softly.
A smile slowly spread across Katieâs face. âThen I like my name.â
Clint exhaled, his chest tightening with something between grief and pride. He pulled her into his arms, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. âMe too, bug.â
And for the first time in years, thinking about Kate Bishop didnât hurt quite as much.

Anything about Katie with her best friend!
The second Gerryâs feet hit the ground, Katie yanked him behind a stack of crates, her heart pounding. âThat was so stupid.â
Gerry, still grinning, brushed dust off his jacket like he hadnât just jumped off a moving truck. âAnd also kinda cool, right?â
Katie smacked his arm. Hard. âNo. Just stupid.â
He winced, rubbing the spot she hit. âOkay, okay, I get it! But admit itâmy landing was at least a solid eight out of ten.â
âMore like a two,â she shot back, peeking around the crates to make sure they hadnât been followed. âYou nearly faceplanted.â
âAlmost doesnât count.â
Katie groaned, running a hand through her wind-messed hair. âGerry, I swear, if you ever pull something like that againââ
âWhat? Youâll kill me? Because Iâm pretty sure my momâs gonna do that first.â
That was a fair point. Jessica Drew wasnât exactly known for being chill about near-death experiences.
Katie sighed, finally allowing herself to breathe. âJust⌠donât make me have to save your dumb ass again, okay?â
Gerry nudged her with his elbow. âCâmon, you love it.â
She shoved him. He laughed. And just like that, they were moving againâtwo kids raised by heroes, finding their own way through the chaos.
Who watches Katie if Clint and Nat ever have to be deployed together?
Whenever tyey have to be away at the same time, they leave Katie with people they trust. The two most common choices are Bucky and Jessica Drew.
Bucky is practically family. Heâs protective, knows how to handle danger, and would do anything to keep Katie safe. Despite his grumpy exterior, he has a soft spot for her and takes his job as her guardian seriously. Plus, heâs one of the few people who can actually keep up with her energy.
Jessica Drew is another natural choice, especially since her son, Gerry, is around Katieâs age. Jessica ensures Katie has as normal a life as possible while her parents are gone, and Katie adores spending time with her and Gerry. Having another super-spy as a babysitter means Katie is always in good hands.
