If we cannot contact a cast member, we will make a public post, but if there is no means of contacting them, they may have to be removed from the cast. (We will not delete anyone immediately; only if they are unreachable over several weeks.)
Hello and welcome back!
Hello everyone! This is a formal announcement that as it is summer and everyone has more time, we are back and running full-speed! By all means send in auditions, get your friends to send in auditions, and help us get to a full cast so we can open requests. Requests for any given character will open as soon as that character has all spots filled (eg. writer, artist, voice actor). We need all types of auditions, but especially artists. Remember to send auditions to [email protected] and if there are questions or concerns, contact us via the askbox!
Is this still happening? I was planning on auditioning (for all three roles, as in VA, writer, and artist), but I'd like to know if this is actually still going on. It would be great if it was! It's a wonderful idea.
We are more or less on hiatus for the moment as this school year has been extremely busy for everyone and new auditions are near nonexistent. However, we will be picking up speed soon and hope to gain momentum and make a lot of progress! Please feel free to audition for as many roles as you like!

Artists needed
Just an update that we have a severe discrepancy of artists. If you would like to audition to draw one or multiple characters for our blog, or know someone who would, we encourage you or your friends to audition! Just send in a (motivational) (as in happy face, not tears) picture of your preferred character(s). (One character per picture, preferably - if separate pictures of characters are present, you can by all means also send a group picture!)

If I want to be a writer for a character and my friend wants to be a voice actor for the same character, could they use my writing audition for their voice acting audition?
Unless the character your friend wants to voice act does not have any lines in homestuck, we would prefer they read from a canon script (pesterlog, introduction text, etc.)

Hey so, I have a few questions for the writing aspect of an audition. Do we need Skype? I have it, but I'm not very open to it. Also, would we receive prompts or anything of the sort to write about? (Specifically for an audition I mean. Like do we write just a normal conversation between two characters or just one for that character?). Sorry, I'm totally new at this thing, but I'd like to try it out!
You do not need Skype. You will not receive a prompt for your initial audition or auditions, but just send a monologue of the character you are auditioning for (preferably fitting with the hopestuck theme). If we like your audition, we may accept you as a writer immediately or send a prompt for a callback. Thanks for your interest and we look forward to reading your auditions!
