The thoughts in her mind were swirling, today marked the day that Ray died heroically to save her parents. Some people, including her parents, said that Dr. Facilier had died after his deals caught up to him. But Morgan and records at the library said that he was alive and well, living in the Isle.

It angered her to a huge amount at the thought of such a sweet person dying while the bad and wicked lived. Without major consequences to their actions that helped the mourning. Dr. Facilier needed to get a taste of his own medicine. So full of adrenaline, she stormed up to the only person she knew could get her to the isle safely one way or another.

“Morgan! Can you or do you know anyone that can get me to the isle and back?” She said quickly with hope and determination in her eyes.

She was going to get to the isle one way or another. And when she did, she was about to beat the voodoo man at his own game.

Lakhi was navigating through a few posts on her phone after class ended. In getting her phone and social media when she got to school, she’d jumped into the world of social media as quick as she could. It was definitely something that would help her get more followers or gain popularity.

“Oye, over here!” She playfully snapped her fingers to get a classmate’s attention, “Where did you get your shoes? Cus the ankle strap usually cuts off people’s legs too much, but I guess you’re pulling it off.”

“The tough part is going to be getting you to the Isle without anyone noticing.”

Norman had seen her a couple of times before he decided to approach her. His plans of making a name for himself as the Punk’in Prince in Auradon simply weren’t happening as fast as he thought they would. Not that he thought he’d become an overnight sensation or anything, but he had expected something more than… nothing.

He decided that his style was a bit too Halloweentown for the Auradonians to get behind, so he had grabbed his sketchbook and began to peruse the student body for someone who was fashionable, but not somebody with the same aspirations that he had. Fashion Design was a cutthroat business.

And with that mindset, he sought out the Princess of Maldonia. He finally found her and approached her slowly, “Hello Princess, we haven’t spoken before, but if it’s alright, I’d like to ask a favor of you. My name’s Norman Skellington and I need some…” Though it pained him to say the next few words, he spat them out anyway, “Fashion advice.”

“So hows Auradon been to you? I hope no ones giving ya trouble! I’d have to show them how people from New Orleans do things.” She smiled raising an eyebrow playfully.

She’ll be able to tell you what it is! And nah i’m not hurt, it stings a bit but other then that i’m fine. So what do you say?” She said giving a grin. She’d really missed Mama Odie and her family. Though this wasn’t just a excuse to go back home, she really did want to help the boy find out. That would just be a bonus if the boy did want to go. But just hearing her voice would help alot to if he didn’t. Which she would understand.

“M-Mama Odie?” he asks, though he does know who the famous Voodoo priestess of the Bayou is. “I-I think…wi-will she be able to help m-me? I don’t kn-know if this is a ma-magic curse or not. I-it may just be some-something small a-and I don’t want to bother her o-over something no-not worth her time.” He wonders if this is just an odd occurrence that can be explained away by science. Perhaps he’s got something on him that’s an unusually strong conductor, and there may just be a significantly higher amount of static in the air due to high humidity? All possible, right.

He breathes out with relief at her telling him she’s okay, that the shock hadn’t hurt her. “I-I’m glad you’re alright. I’m worried other pe-peop-people might not be, though. I-I don’t know how many students I sho-shocked today.”

“I was planning on coming down from Auradon to help you out- b-but…yes ma’am, Mama Odie i just don’t- okay b-bye.” Evangeline talked into the phone before hanging up.

She sighed and sat on the ground putting her head into her hands. Her mama and daddy had assured her that she’d get used to being in Auradon after a bit but she just couldn’t see it happening. She wanted to run around listening to jazz and watching Louis play at the restaurant. She missed her home, her family.

She was so lost into her thoughts and sorrows that she hadn’t realized that someone had sat beside her.

“And yeah, that doctor guy is there too, I didn’t see him too often but he’s kinda weird..” He trailed off from that sentence, not sure where he was going with that exactly.

“I umm i need to go to my room s-sorry..” She said quickly standing up, she had never actually thought about how badly they much have had it..how selfish it was for her to worry about little things while they were actually stuck with the Shadowman. And she only had him in her past. She couldn’t sit around and talk to them like everything was normal..she felt so much guilt and she had to think for a bit.

It was truth, she didn’t mean to scare the other girl. She was heading back to her room after some round of gymnastics in the trees, but her right foot started to hurt horribly, acting out as a sharp cramp through it. Alemayehu decided immediately to sit down, knowing that it could get worst.

“Wait what?? You used some kind of buzzer or tazer right??? Or are you saying you did that with your body??” Evangeline said in shock however the boy looked really nervous so she shrugged it off for the moment and spoke again but more calm.

“Hey listen its okay, take a deep breath. I’m fine, i’ve had worse.” It was a bit of an exaggeration but if the boy did have magic or whatever it was, him being really nervous and guilty may not be the best if he became overcome with those feelings.

Evangeline then began to wonder if he was cursed by a voodoo man or woman to have those powers or if he was born with it. But those things could wait until later. For now, she had finally found something to distract her from dying from boredom.

Syr shakes his head and holds up his hands in front of him to show her. “S-see? I don’t have an-any-anything. I-it’s just…this has bee-been happening all day and I ca-an’t seem to get it to stop.”

At her advice, he inhales and exhales slowly, gathering himself, and reducing his trembling, though he’s not sure if it’s from his nervousness or from the high amounts of electricity that has been coursing through him. “I-I’m not…not sure what this is. M-may-maybe…” he ponders for a moment. His mother had told him that he may get powers sometime in his teen years, but she’d expected them a lot earlier. At this point, they were both fairly certain that he didn’t have any magical powers of the likes of other Olympians. Perhaps he’s just a late bloomer? Is that a thing among demi-gods?

“Y-you’re not hurt, right?” he asks again, just to make sure, feeling as guilty as ever despite the fact that he seemingly had no control.
