Hello! Sorry this took me forever tumblr ate your ask. 😭

So every hotline is going to call the ambulance but for only 3 reasons:

1, if there is a real present and dangerous threat to you. I.E., you literally tied your noose, or you already downed a bottle of medicine, or you have a weapon of your choice to end it.

2, If you consent and want to voluntarily commit yourself.

3, If you live outside the USA, it is customary for hotlines in certain countries to just automatically come and get you.

From what you're saying, I think you're outside the USA wanting to get help. The easiest way to do so without therapy or hotlines (therefore not be committed), is to honestly try and develop a community outside of yourself or family. Easier said than done right? I say it like it's not one of the hardest things to actually start to do, especially if you might have an inkling of hurting yourself.

Hotlines exist to try and help you out of a crisis. Here in the states, they help with domestic violence, suicidal or self harm ideation, or just as a counselor to talk to when shit gets real rough and you have no one else. At one point in my life, I was calling them almost daily. I knew people by name. They knew me by name. Yet I was never committed until I took that first step, until I decided to do it voluntarily.

Little tip for people in the USA, you WANT to be committed voluntarily rather than involuntarily. They typically don't put you in with the real crazy people that are detoxing and are physically violent. This isn't true for ALL places of course, but for most especially in Urban areas, it's better to be voluntarily committed. It also helps if you wish to be a gun owner in the future and things of that nature.

Even if you don't want to get committed, or are scared to, know that it is always a choice, and you would be happier in the long run committing yourself for a week to a month voluntarily rather than immediately taking things into your hands and ending up dead.

See, people think of mental health like it's either wholly good or bad. You're depressed, anxious, have a personality disorder, etc, you're mentally ill or, you're normal.

That's not how it works. You have to understand we all live in a dying capitalist nation, no matter where we are. This is the highest tensions have been since WW2 when it concerns capitalism and the way people hate it. You're not depressed because you were destined to be. You're depressed because you're isolated. You're isolated because of the way our society runs, because of capitalism. Because, especially here in America where you can see the exaggerated effects, isolation means a population is easier to control. If we all had the community our fore father's had for any country, if we had more third places more communities, we would have more context for why others are the way they are. Why that Romani person is fearful of the Europeans, why this black person here in the USA is afraid of the police. Why that Palestinian is fighting so hard for their freedom while they're going to university. If we had the context, the people in our life with those experiences, we wouldn't feel as isolated from our own experiences. We would all come to the eventual conclusions that something has to change. You wouldn't be isolated because ideally, you wouldn't have to be controlled by the government. The people would actively control the government.

Mental health is a constant broken bone. People who are "normal" are the ones benefitting from your suffering. They're helping that wheel turn and crush more people, you aren't the only one. If you see the world as it is, why we all have mental health crises, why we have issues and how it all leads back to capitalism, you start to understand that, yes while you need help with your mental health situation, you are completely justified in how you are feeling and thinking because everyone to an extent who can think for themselves is feeling and thinking the same things because suffering, living and dying are all profit motivated in any country you go to.

So, to answer your question (TL;DR): If you're in the USA, you can call the Trevor Project. I think they have some out of country lines too, but you would have to look that up. You also want to build that community. It means nothing to be committed or call a hotline and continuously feel isolated. And finally, you're completely valid in your feelings. Remember we exist in a dying capitalist dystopia. You're meant to feel isolated, but that doesn't mean you're alone and that there is no hope.

Mainly, I'm deciding to move away from posting RP content, and move towards posting longform content like Sam & I's podcast we're currently planning, or other random stuff on this blog.

I love all my friends within the RP community, but unfortunately I haven't felt the love for writing that I usually have. Besides, there are MUCH better Phil Graves blogs running, like @cmdr-graves which has a PHENOMENAL characterization of Graves and really brings the evil vibes to the party that mine was lacking.

I think most people in the RP community knew I was going to move away from it at some point as my patience with a lot of the young adults within the community has waned very visibly.

I understand not everyone has as much as lived experience as I do, or is as politically aware, nor has the actual want to learn about it like I do, but jesus fucking christ.

I will still gladly interact with my friends like @ask-gaz , @lilbardrhi , @vedma-s-vostoka , @shadowcompanys-medic-beaks and more on Tumblr and stay in the COD discord server as a content creator (as Call of Rambles will also have it's Call of Duty episodes, and we might bring a few blog members on from time to time) and chat with everyone. But As of now, I'm officially stepping back from the CODRP community.

Lol you're totally okay! I'm actually going to be making my own Discord server I think. Especially since Sam and I are wanting to make our own podcast: Call of Rambles.

Basically its a political (Leftist/Communist) Podcast, where we talk about current events in the USA and Europe, possibly third world countries as well, give commentary on things that we have Big Opinions™️ about (Like COD MW 3), and just ramble and share things we like to do.

It's less of a reporting, not quite a deep dive, but a mix of the two I guess?

I've told her multiple times how to phrase it so people don't get pissy, and her and her friends keep using transphobic rhetoric to, in my eyes, intentionally piss people off. She's been in my DMs this morning, basically begging for empathy because she's getting death threats.

So here's my statement and my empathy.

I empathize with my friends who have had this rhetoric used against them, past and present, and been essentially mocked by her and her friends online. I have been a victim of this rhetoric too, as I am nonbinary Feminine-Presenting.

I won't lie, I educated Soren on the proper way to convey what they're saying, but they have told me in DMs they don't care if people get upset, that they are happily proud of what she had said.

I told them to stop interacting, and they kept doing so. I told them to block and delete death threats specifically and to stop interacting with the discourse. Instead, they decided to further mock the community I and so many others are a part of. She continued to use TERF rhetoric. She continued to fan the flames of the discourse, reblog the TERF rhetoric her friends use, and then come into my DMs and complain she has Death Threats and borderline demanding me to make a statement that I don't support her getting death threats when that was literally the first thing I posted on the Discord Server and on my own blog.

I don't have sympathy for those that in my DMs, beg for attention and pity points, then turn around and call me rude and disrespectful as I'm telling them what to do and they're deliberately going against it. I don't have sympathy for those who want to make a big deal out of something, rather than literally shutting the fuck up, calming down, and rephrasing what they say into something that should properly represent their beliefs as they're telling a third party.

I don't have sympathy for people who make a goddamn mountain over a mole hill, and choose to die on a stupid hill and then beg in my DMs for fucking pity. I don't. If that upsets any of you, then please get off my blog.

Yeah. Soren is 18, and they (as far as I'm aware) are Cisgender. I have in public and in private, corrected them and told them how to better word it, and they have said I was being incredibly rude or disrespectful. I've asked them personally about their beliefs, and the things they've sent me are from someone who is definitely engaging in bad-faith arguments and possibly transphobic. They hide behind the fact they have friends and a family member who is trans, but MY BROTHER a year ago was literally a neo-nazi. (He is now incredibly left-leaning.) Also, racists constantly engage in bad-faith arguments and use their "I'm not racist, I have x Black Friend(s)!" all the time. You interacting closely with a minority doesn't mean you aren't using microaggressions or engaging in very dangerous rhetoric, but like I said, Soren has disclosed they are happy and proud of what they said, so, do with that information as you will. The best course of action is literally to not interact and/or block. Personally, I'll leave my DMs open to them if they ever want to actually learn about why people are saying it's dangerous and why they're correct.

topics include: - the shooting events, what we know now and the ideology of the shooter (what is confirmed, and then highly possible theories) - what is a nazi/neonazi/fascist - why its bad to mourn a fascist and say the line: they died for speaking their mind - why its important to use correct terminology - correct ways to formulate your opinion about the shooting in places where you don't want to share your ideology and seem "middle grounded" (particularly for workplaces & family events)

tbh i think that people try to have moral superiority over others and basically virtue signal and say "im better than you for having empathy for a disgusting person because they're a human." but what they dont understand is that's literally helping the fascist cause, especially pertaining to neo nazis.

i think, again, most people are not politically aware enough to actually have critical opinions, nor actually have enough knowledge about political systems and ideologies and MODERN internet political spaces and their culture to weigh in on current events or share ideas about them.
