Zorua stepped back. “Wh-why should I trust you?”
The kidnapper stared off towards the forest. “Why else would I tell you this? What would I have to gain from trying to help you?”
Zorua lowered her stance. “Because you’re leading Rose into a laboratory full of Hypno’s stuff! You’re just going to hurt Rose again, aren’t you?”
Scythe growled. “Hypno is as much of my enemy as yours. But since Hypno’s dead, I don’t have anything to do with you. The only reason why I’m doing this is because of some idealistic Zigzagoon who believed that they could rescue Rose.”
Zorua blinked. “Z-Zigzag?” she muttered to herself.
The Scyther grimaced for a moment before straightening her face. “He’s taken the new name of Noone since he’s evolved,” she stated. “We’ve been attacked by several of Hypno’s experiments who’ve gone feral, and Noone is afraid of Experiment #37 falling to the same fate. Is there anything else that I should tell you?”
Zorua glared at her. “Did you tell Noone that you kidnapped me?” Zorua asked.
A small pause occurred between the two. Then, to her surprise, the Scyther started chuckling. Zorua stiffened her muscles.
“It is ironic, is it not?” she said after regaining her composure. “That stupid Linoone came up to me and begged me to help him out. I fought off feral experiments sent against me and Noone stuck around to help me out just because he believed that I would help him. And, you know what?”
The Scyther grinned. “I told him everything. I told him how I poisoned you, hurt you, tossed you aside like a ragdoll. I thought, because of how much I hurt you, that would be enough to scare him off and get him off my back. But even then… He stuck around with me.”
Zorua tilted her head. “Why?”
She smirked. “Because, unlike everyone else… I didn’t kill you.”
Zorua tensed up again as the Scyther regained composure. “I think I wasted enough time on that subject. In brief, Noone is the one that wants to help you, and I’m just going along with his plan. So, will you convince her to come to Fuego Ironworks?”
Zorua thought for a moment. “I… I’m not sure… I still don’t trust you, and even if I were to say anything to her, Rose doesn’t want to go back… But, if what you say about Rose being in trouble is true, what am I supposed to do to get her to that place?”
“Hmph, you know her better than I do.” The Scyther shrugged. “You figure it out, Chrystelle.”
Zorua rose an eyebrow. “Um… I don’t know who this Chrystelle Pokémon is, but-”
Zorua flinched at the sudden movement of the Scyther, shouting, “How can you not know…!” Her eyes widened for a moment as she calmed down. “Right…”
“A letter?” Zorua asked to herself.
Before Zorua could ask more, the Scyther disappeared. Zorua picked up the letter. She looked towards the place the Scyther was and muttered, “Fuego Ironworks… Do I… Do I even trust her?”
She tilted her head as she looked at the envelope. “And… Why is this letter so… Familiar? Have I seen it somewhere?”
