Ash looked up at the woman, and graciously accepted the warm beverage. “Oh, hello. And thank you.”

“So wait…you’re telling me…the multiverse theory ISN’T just a theory…?”

“Well...it certainly looks like it.”

“Wait, what?” Octavia tilted her head in confusion and raised an eyebrow.

“I know, it sounds insane. I mean, another dimension? But Neil’s giant machine isn’t here, the screams from the rest of the campers aren’t here, and even the carvings on the docks I did years ago aren’t here. I don’t quite remember what Neil did exactly...but something went wrong. Something always goes wrong. Next thing I know I’m diving head first into the lake.”

Ash looked up at the woman, and graciously accepted the warm beverage. “Oh, hello. And thank you.”

“Funny, my uncle’s name is David too.”

Ash looks down slightly, “We’re probably talking about the same person. Because this isn’t the same camp where I was this morning.” She puts the cup down beside her and looks to the water. “At first, I thought maybe Neil’s machine was just an oversized teleporter...but now...”

“Say, who IS your brother? I’m uh…I’m just curious.”

Ash gave a small laugh, “An asshole named David. He’s a cool dude, but can you know how siblings can be.” She lightly shakes her head in amusement.

“Y’know…you look kinda look like my uncle…sorry if that sounds weird.”

“Nah, it’s not strange.” Ash looks out onto the lake. “But usually people compare me to my brother.” 

Ash gladly accepts Elise’s hand. “Thanks, I really don’t know how I got into the lake. Definitely caught me off guard.”

A-are you hurt?? I-I can do CPR!!

Ash pulls herself to the dock’s edge and sat, legs dangling. “Nah, I’m ok. Just hit the lake bottom a bit, nothing major. I guess I’m lucking someone heard me fall.”
