Calchas had been tapping his can along the ramps, heading down to the market. Suddenly, he tripped on a rock, and his cane fell into the water! "Oh god. Come on!" He groaned, hearing it splash. He sat down on the edge, feeling hopeless.
Maigaka had been walking along the ramp when he saw a stranger trip. It was only a split second later that she realized it was a blind man. His cane had made a splash into the water.
"Donāt worry! Wait right here Iāll get it for you!" She said. With that she got into the water to retrieve the cane. It was not what she was supposed to be doing of course. She had to be on the tail of a criminal. She codulnāt just abandon the blind man like this.Ā
Maigaka leaped her blades ready to make a kill but Ā pulled her blow gun at the last second and shot the guy on the face.Ā
The guy screamed and flailed for a minute . and fell flat on his face knocked out my the dart.Ā
"Should we take him to be questioned?" she asked.Ā
"What just happened?" Calchas asked Iola. "He got knocked out." She told him. "You should question him because he said he basically was spying on meā¦" Iola told Maigaka
"Wait" Azhrra said
"What?"
"If we take him to be questioned by the clan⦠he will tell them about them and ā¦that canāt happen. "
"What are we supposed to do with him? canāt just let him go can we?"Ā
Calchas closed one eye and shrugged. Iola stood up and brushed off any dirt that got on her when they had hit the ground.
Maigaka looked saddened. She knew what the Lavenders expected her to do with him. Either take him for questioning or kill him. She was after all Hunt and Destroy. But she didnāt want to kill.Ā
Calchas frowned and Iola put a thin hand on his shoulder.
"Stay with them. I will take him." Maigaka said and somehow lifted teh male Zora over her shoulder. Ā Azhrra stared in amazement at her upper body strength. She walked around the corner.
"I am sorry we have brought this upon you." Azhrra said with a sad look on his face.Ā
Calchas turned to Iola. āYou know, I should be mad at you,ā he said. āShould be,ā repeated Iola.
Maigaka returned alone but said nothing about what had happened.Ā
Azhrra knew better than to ask. It was most likely that the man was dead. He would rather not know what she had done.Ā
"Well, what now?" Calchas asked. Iola leaned against the wall and sighed. "Do you know what you said earlier?" She asked. "Did I do the thing again?" Chas asked.
"Well I guess we shoudl get going. We can return to keep an eye on you if you so wish it." Azhrra said.Ā
