Ask Trash Cam

“Hey. I’m deciding to be real gracious lately by giving you the chance to ask me anything your heart desires. Now, whether I actually answer is up in the air, but…don’t waste this golden opportunity, ‘kay?”

Rules:

Feel free to ask questions, make statements, write whatever you want! Just make sure not to write anything offensive or hateful (you can be mean/rude to Cam, just keep it within reason please!).

Suggestive asks are allowed, but nothing straight up NSFW, please! The official game is 17+ and its in-game descriptions are vague/purposefully ambiguous enough and that’s how I’d prefer to keep this blog as well.

Player/homeowner and object OC asks & roleplay are welcome! I, as the mod, cannot guarantee that my responses will match whatever vision you have for your or your character’s relationship with Cam, though, so please keep that in mind when submitting an ask.

Anonymous asks can sign-off with emojis or whatever tag they want to be known by and I’ll do my best to keep track of previous messages/interactions. Sign-offs will also be hashtagged for convenience.

Any questions or comments for me, the mod, can be submitted as well. Anything from me specifically and not Cam will be written in parentheses on posts.

Please keep it lighthearted! We’re all here to have fun and that is my main goal with this account. If Cam isn’t your style, that’s totally OK and you’re free to block as you wish!

Hopping back on to say I plan on returning, finally, in January! :3 Unfortunately I do not know whether that will be sooner or later, but regardless, I hope to be back soon enough!!

It’s been especially difficult to keep up with this blog due to that alongside my gradually waning interest in DE!, even though I do still love Cam and the game/fandom very dearly. I still love engaging with everyone here and I hope my absence doesn’t convince anyone otherwise!

As of right now, I think the best thing for me is putting this blog on hiatus; I will return! I want to, and I plan to! But I completely understand if people move on by the time I come back. I don’t plan on being gone an insanely long amount of time, I just need to give myself a proper break without stressing myself out further about responsibilities I’ve placed onto my own shoulders.

That being said, I estimate being gone for a few weeks to a month at most. And obviously, this is subject to change depending on what goes on in my life and whether or not my mental state mellows out any earlier than anticipated! Hopefully there’ll still be people around by then…

As for mod replies and such, those take less effort and brain power from me, so if there’s anything for me and not Cam, I will still likely get around to those throughout this break! I don’t wanna cut myself off completely, either. I’ll still be around to reblog stuff, talk about Cam, and whatnot—at least when life allows me to be. But for just a little while longer, I’m OOC-only mode haha :’o

And once again, thank you to those who have stuck around and continue to stick around! I know it can be annoying to wait around for someone, but I am only one person and I hope that you all can forgive me for not meeting expectations. 🙏 I will do my best upon my return to crack down on everything again!!

“Little bit…cuter than I’d portray myself,” Cam says, but he’s smiling at you, “but I like it. Looks nice. I’d hang onto that over tossin’ it out, though.” He laughs and shakes his head. “Wouldn’t wanna lose it, y’know.”

He remembered serving Tony a whiskey on the rocks. Remembered Kristof trying to start another idiotic fight with Luke. Eddie had zapped Kristof twice to make him settle down. He remembered that, too. He always remembered when he had to use the current. He remembered Washford ordering a… “What was it?” He frowned. “Cosmo. Yeah. Cosmo.”

Then Dirk had come in, and ordered a cider. Then…

“Cam, I think?” Yeah. Cam came in, asked for something with grapes instead of his usual sludge. That was odd enough to stick.

“Then… then what?” He squinted,  trying to drag the memory into focus. Volt’s voice echoed next in his mind, he had made the announcement for the Open mic night, then everyone cheered. After that? Closing hours. He locked the door, fixed the leak in the cooler. Volt calling to him from upstairs to rest. And then, when Volt was asleep, he’d gone back downstairs. Checked the stage planks. Rewired the microphone line. Hinges on the storage door. Everything checked out. Everything except—

“The booth,” he murmured. “I never touched the damn booth.”

He closed his eyes, and pressed his palms against them.

“No, no…”

He tried again, rewinding the night from the beginning.

He remembered Tony talking about his new date-advice workshop while ordering his drink. Kristof’s tantrum, then Dirk had come before Washford, mumbling something about Harper. Then Washford came and started drinking with Dirk, then Cam… No, then Luke came to order a beer and put some strange powder into that, and after that came Cam. Then the two of them talked about the glass shards, and then…

Then…

“Fuck, this is harder than I thought.”]
