Hey guys, I just wanted to drop something real quick for you guys who are interested in the Fantasia AU;

If you’re intending to join, thinking it’s a positive and upbeat AU (like this one or Floral//verse), it’s not. It’s absolutely not. It’s full of fighting and no one listens to each other, even when actual real points are brought up. The admins are sneaky (and all the admins are adults) and don’t think of anyone except themselves, and the overall atmosphere is incredibly toxic.

I’m not making this a rant post, or reasons why you shouldn’t join Fantasia (you can see Cherry’s post on that here), but I’m warning those who are interested that it’s not what you’re expecting. It’s not fun to be in the chats, no one respects anyone and unless you’re part of their clique you’ll be ignored. Overall I’m really unimpressed and upset at how everything turned out, especially since I joined hoping it was a relaxing AU and instead I’ve been physically sick because of the stress it invokes.

Please… Do not join the Fantasia Au.

Frankly I don’t care if I get in trouble for this but since I was planning on leaving right after this, I wanted to mention this for anyone looking to join in the future. I know this blog isn’t popular but I still wanted to share it to those who are thinking of joining. I am not one to usually speak up and point out the flaws of and au but I had to mention this. Now I am not saying I am perfect or anything, just that this is not an au for anyone thinking this would be a fun au to join because it isn’t especially the chats. If you haven’t noticed there is a lot of blogs leaving the au not just myself. And frankly I have 40 asks rn sitting in my inbox (which is the most I have ever gotten) and I may do text answers explaining everything I would of said for Renzo in this au. But you get that despite that fact, I am quitting this au and leaving this as a warning to those in the future.

I haven’t used tumblr for a long time so the aus I’ve join are actually pretty okay. You got the occasionally people that get on your nerves but you just ignore them for the most part. However I don’t have to been in a million aus to know this a pretty bad one. This au is very toxic and these are the list of reasons why I suggest not to join this au. I will go into more detail below and I won’t do a read more because I feel like this needs to be read and shown entirely.

People in the Chat

Well there is no other way to put it that the people in the chat are pretty toxic and I admit that I am starting to become worse and worse because of this influence. I am an admin myself and I run my own au so I know the kind of situations that come up within the chats but I tend to solve them rather calmly. However most people take things very personally and want to cause fights rather than look for solutions. Now I am not saying everyone in the chat is like this. I haven’t been it for long but some of my friends were in it and some people aren’t bad, just those few people make it hard to enjoy the au sometimes. But even worse is that they are admins of the au. Look, if you are going to be an admin of an au, you can’t take things personally if people criticize or point out things. Admins are supposed to help keep things in line and help to negotiate everything not add to the conflict. Even worse they are adults and it makes me ashamed to call myself an adult. They act like children :/

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about and it just happened recently.

So there was a discussion of how criminals would be punished in the Umbra Kingdom. To be honest, I personally didn’t agree with how Umbra was going about with their punishments as I felt like this is ruining the whole point of the Umbra Kingdom. It was supposed to the dark kingdom aka the whole reason why I joined (and I will go more into that in the 4th reason). But at this point I was already getting sick of the au and was like “whatever” until one person pointed out someone’s post. It was a shitpost but it pointed out still a form of punishment and “free speech.” Personally how it was brought up probably wasn’t handled in the best way but the person had a point nonetheless. Everyone was pointing out “it was a shitpost- its just a joke.” However if you have been to any ask account, shitposts make and develop a character how they are supposed to be. For example on one of my other accounts:

When I die, I want you to be my pallbearer, so you can let me down one last time.

Yes this is a shitpost but did you gain something about his character? Of course you did. Now you know he is the kind of person who is quite sassy and probably an asshole- and messed up way of thinking/humor(which is actually accurate).

I gave a suggestion that if they don’t want shitposts to count towards their character or anything like that, I suggested that they instead put something to indicate that its not canon to their blog or kingdom. I tried to end it peacefully and point out their point about the shitpost since nobody was going to defend them. To be honest, I wasn’t even their friend (just everyone apparently assumed since I decided to be nice and defended their point since nobody would even consider it).

But nope, everyone wanted to argue about it. Frankly at that point, I went fuck it and just bitched pretty much. Its not like anyone was going to listen at that point or care. Though I have to admit it was pretty funny that one of the admins said to stop and I was just agreeing to something and I just posted along the lines of “i get also the other side’s point but whatever imma drop it now”. They said to just go and I replied that I was already planning to. They said to leave already and I replied with “:3” just to fuck with them.

Now this isn’t normally the type of person I am but really I can tell you that this wouldn’t be how I normally react to situations and its because of this chat really fucked with me. I did something I probably shouldn’t have done once but frankly it was because I was pissed and afterwards I was disgusted to see how I had changed because of this short time in this chat.

You may think I maybe exaggerating but I really am not. Maybe its because I am comparing it to other aus but my friend also agrees that this isn’t right. You see, popularity dictates everything even admin roles apparently but you know whatever lmao. I didn’t have to be in this chat long to see this.

You see, there is one person in the au in particular I will be referencing to this entire time but pretty much everyone kisses their ass (well except me and a few friends)- even the goddamn admin does. Its pretty funny considering that they have also gotten on the admin’s nerves yet have now become an admin of the chat. Frankly I don’t care too much about them and they do good art… when its normal art. But again, you get your ass kissed if your art is amazing and your popular.

Well what about the other side you may ask? My own experiences is feeling very isolated from the chat because most of them aren’t very friendly to be frank. I recall posting a picture and normally in the other chats I’ve been in, everyone gives a praise no matter how “good” or “bad” the art is. But it was pretty much silence.

However the more extreme case hasn’t happened to me but rather someone else. Let me dub my friend… Y. Y frankly has really good art despite their age and I really do admire them for their artwork. They are an amazing person in general and quite friendly. So they ended up joining the Fantasia AU. It was sad to hear that my friend’s blog didn’t get the attention it deserve and they did try to do a promo. Sadly due to their young age, they got in trouble for even posting it in the “promo” channel. And guess how they manage to get attention? They did drawings for others and suddenly everyone was reblogging their stuff. Now personally, I tend to stay away from reblogging other’s stuff as my blogs would quickly turn into 99% others content and 1% of my own content lmao. But the point nonetheless is that they only got noticed because of free art and it was just sad…

The New Rules that were Implemented

First I will be posting the actual rules here of the discord chat. I will screenshot them and I will basically give you the rundown of what the rules are basically saying if you don’t want to read it. But basically to sum it up, I basically am going to use what my friend used to describe what these rules mean:

1. The au won’t accept toxic people even half of the au is toxic :/

2. If you go against the admin in any way, you get put in the “punishment” role which means you don’t get to talk for a week in the chats.

3. You can’t defend yourself if people are upsetting or hurting you. No, you go to the admin and if they deem it a “good reason” they might do something about it.

4. You can’t defend others, especially if they’re your friends. You’re to turn a blind eye to any arguments or fights going on and pretend they aren’t happening. (Aka why I got into trouble for a point earlier… and also for making the comments of “was already planning to” and “:3” though totally worth it).

5. They won’t reject or remove people from the chats if you’re uncomfortable with them. like?

6. You don’t like the rules? “The server is too much for you” and you’ll be forced out of the AU

But here is my problems with the rules and I had originally sent this to the admin of the au. I won’t share it here as its really really long but trust me when I say, I had a lot of things I had to say about what’s wrong with these rules.

Disregard for Characters and their backstories.

So to explain this I have to explain my character, who he was supposed to be and other characters around him who play important parts of his roles. Now this one its kind of unavoidable to say out who it is but I will try to keep it as unknown as possible for privacy. There is others that I can go into but I won’t explicitly state it as I will be mainly going into mine.

First of all, Renzo Vargas is my interpretation of 2P Seborga put into this au for one reason: he helps to brainwash the majority of the “child” army in Umbra. Now to help keep him in line, he has a necklace around his neck which he is unable to take off. It drains his powers and stores it within the gem. Due to the amount of magic he has to use to brainwash any new comers and the amount of magic he uses in general, he is becomes physically exhausted to a point where he sleeps to replenish his magic. He probably is only awake at the very most a few hours for food before going right back to bed sleeping most of the days and nights. Its quite sad because if you really think about it, he probably has skipped a lot of birthdays and days very disoriented with the time. But basically, he is used to his very limits every single day and this implies that others may have more magic available to them at the cost of his “life.”

Great setup to his character right? Well I think so lmao.

But here’s the thing. The person who was supposed to do this to him had suddenly flip scripts to suddenly they are actually a nice person. Now I don’t know about you but this now doesn’t make sense of why Renzo is the way he is and other characters too. It flipped the script on everything including the kingdom with little to no regard to how the characters would be affected just so their character could be liked more. Did you expect an evil character to be liked right off the bat? You were kind of asking of it and you did approve of these backstories which now don’t make sense.

Personally, I love a great villain and the more fucked up the better and there was so much potential for Umbra as a dark kingdom and conflicting viewpoints to go on. There was so much potential to not only Renzo’s storyline but other’s as well! But its now wasted and frankly it was the only reason I joined. If I posted anything about Renzo now at this point, I wouldn’t be able to explain why characters acted a certain way. Its just messed up…

I have personal gripes about other characters but I don’t care at this point.

My point is that there is almost no regard to other characters. Even one person’s who had such great potential for a messed up and angsty storyline was lost due to this.

You can have asshole characters or evil villains but they can still be “likeable.” They have motivations no matter how twisted it maybe and it won’t excuse their actions but they have motivations! I know Renzo is a horrible character in terms how “good” or “evil” they are but people like him.

So this wraps up what I had to say about this au. I may or may not add more about it but I hope this serves as a warning to anyone looking to join this au.

Stay away from this au. I don’t care who maybe popular is in this au. Stay away from it. I can tell you the few people who should definitely get praises for their artworks, attitude, and just overall being good people but they don’t deserve this. I hope you guys are willing to understand this and don’t take this personally. Frankly I would personally create my own au where a dark kingdom is done properly.

But for anyone else in the hetalia fandom, please don’t join.

I don’t like how I had spent my days bitching about the au because of the people in it. I don’t like how my friends and I have been treated in this au. I don’t like it. I just hope you guys can take my advice and avoid joining the au. I don’t like how I changed and I would rather go back to being the person I was before I joined the au.

Thanks for your opinion but I’m staying firm to my beliefs. I am not hurt if anyone didn’t answer my asks as I tend to be slow updating. No-what pisses me more off is the shady shit that goes on in the au and if anyone thinks different or critisizes the au, you might as well take no part of it. I think majority of the people in the au are horrible and others can agree, some of the things that occured the au was shit and wrong.

My statements are in general as well as my main points and concerns. Of course not everyone is going to fit under this same umbrella. You may not be like mona lisa level art or popular but nonetheless here you are. But you guys can’t seem to grasp these were my main gripes about the au and its a general. Not everyone will fit under this catergory but my personal gripes would be better fit into these catergories.

But no, the au was toxic including the admins. And btw, you choose to include names despite me clearly avoiding it in posts so I will use names here too. Yes Maxie maybe be stressing and going through stuff but don’t you think everyone else is too? Do you know what I am going through? Of course not. I don’t bitch about my own personal problems and the stresses in my own but I deal with it. I live through it.

And its nobody’s fault but Maxie’s fault for choosing Roland as his position. Roland was meant to be the bad guy. If Maxie had a problem with people hating their muses, then maybe they shouldn’t have done this. Maxie approved of the backstories, his role in the kingdom, Umbra in general and the dark kingdom is why I joined. And they did intend this to happen a bit. I mean it was coming considering there was plots for a dark kingdom and Roland’s position was only going to ask for hate for him. Maxie could of put Roland in a different position to avoid this in the first place. Villain characters can be liked but do you expected villains to be liked right off the bat? Of course not they are villains! I love a good villain and frankly I loved Roland’s character before it changed. It makes me very disappointed in the potential lost for the storylines and all the muses involved.

And if you are saying big aus are bound to crash, I would like to point out my own au which is going strong still. Sure a few people have dropped out due to time but there is lots of people within my au still because of the concepts myself and everyone in the au came up with the concepts. We discussed and yes I come up with most of the au but I do ask for their opinions and thoughts. Once so many people joined, it became everyone’s au not just my own. It may sound cheesy but its true.

But no matter what you may say that this au may not be horrible, it is horrible. My other chats prove that there are aus out there that don’t have this problem and have good people in it. Wonderful people. If conflict arises, everything tend to smooths over quite nicely and nobody takes things personally. They don’t take things personally and the people and admins are all wonderful people. Everyone is so friendly and quite regularly praises on everyone’s artwork, listen to what people has to say and they develop their own relationships with each other by asking each other.

And I am no toxic person. I didn’t join the fantasia au to expect everything to go to shit. Probably only one person I was ever really worry about but I figured it was one person. What could go wrong? I didn’t realize the amount of people who would be toxic in the au. Frankly I was looking forward to building up my character as Umbra was an interesting kingdom concept… til you hear that au is basically a rip off of Avatar and Attack on Titan. Its quite sad really as there was so much potential for interesting concepts of kingdoms to grow and flurish while Umbra as dark and mysterious it is, slowly grows.

I am quite tolerant of people but there is a line where I won’t stay quite by. I haven’t gotten to know you so I didn’t think you are a bad person however you have to realize my friend’s mistreatment and my own have lead to this post. If your friend was being mistreated and they tell you about it, wouldn’t you feel angry too at whoever cause them this grief? And besides… If I was a toxic person, would I stay? Probably because toxic people feed off of each other.

But I only made this post because of my feelings of my friend’s mistreatment. I made this post despite me usually staying quite about these sort of things. I tend to avoid drama as much as I could. I don’t reblog the drama. I don’t ask for promos. I tend to keep my head down to earth and let people discover my blogs. Hell I haven’t even promo new blogs I make. Do I sound like the type of person doig this for attention?

I love how you guys assume that I do this for attention when its not. I didn’t encourage for others to reblog. I didn’t encourage the likes on this post. In fact I haven’t encourage anything. If I was doing this for attention, I would be doing everything I can begging for people reblog this and give it likes so more attention can be brought to this. I didn’t choose these people to reblog my stuff. They did it on their own. I don’t mind you have your own viewpoints and concerns but these are my own opinions and gripes about the au that caused myself to change and myself and others to really hate the au.

Yes it may not be the most original au but it did have tons of potential but the people within the au makes it hard to enjoy the au. To enjoy building the au and exploring the world. World building is my favorite concepts and I can easily see how this world could been turned into its own unique stories lines, intertwining fates and destinies. Kingdom concepts and magic that could be used. There is so much potential but it is wasted because only the admins have say whether or not it can happen in the au not everyone. It makes my inner writer weep knowing that this au could of been better if there was better people running it as well as in the au itself.

Carnaval has come, so why not not share some facts about the Brazilian version of it?:

-The city of Rio de Janeiro holds the Guiness world record for the largest carnival in the world, with at least 2 million people a day.

-The city of Salvador, Bahia drinks around 10 million litres of beer during the celebration, yet the city only has a population of almost 3 million.

-Those schools preforming at the parade are usually from the poorer of their city.

-Each samba school preforming at the parade are competing against other local schools to win the title.

-The Vai-Vai school from São Paulo has won the most times out of any school in São Paulo with 15 titles

-In Rio de Janeiro, it is Portela with 22 titles.

Even If I don’t hang out with them very often I like them a lot!!
