There are small splash noises nearby, it almost sounds like little footsteps. Suddenly, a monster child appears. It’s a little girl that looks about 12, she’s a purple lizard monster with shaggy pink hair in a ponytail, she’s also holding a plush of a knight close in her arms. Before she notices Tenna, what does he decide to do? (I originally wrote some extra dialogue of her seeing Tenna and reacting, but seeing how he likes to hide, I’ll instead let you interpret what he does when she appears. Also I think you know who it is)
Metal and plastic clinks against each other as the strange machine scours the waste. Claws scrape through detritus, unearthing little odds and ends, discarded packaging, rotting fruits, lost treasures swept down into the heap from the currents above. Searching and searching, for seemingly nothing, but compelled to search nonetheless.
The bent wire antenna adorning his head twitch in response to splashing reverberating off the walls. Hardly unheard of, many monsters called the waterfalls home. They usually don't linger, but the idea of him being seen like this is mortifying. Instinctually, Tenna ducks away from the sound, further out of sight. But ever curious to know who might be passing by, he slinks over one of the piles of junk, high enough to peek over.
It's a monster he's never seen before. Such a small creature, a child. All by herself!!! Tenna's heart lurches at the sight. It's not safe for someone so young to wander around here alone. Is she lost? Perhaps he could approach her, help her find her way back to her family. But the sight of him... surely he would only frighten her, scare her off, maybe even get her more lost than she already is. He's hesitant, indecisive. Maybe he could watch from here just to make sure she won't get hurt. Keep a metaphorical eye on her until her family finds her. He stays where he is while the girl is in his line of sight. He's hardly the stealthiest creature, his body creaks and buzzes, rubble clatters over itself, displaced from his weight. But hopefully she wouldn't notice.
