Because I'm a terrible little crossover shipper at heart I felt compelled to design a "pony" Inuyasha to go with @askponydei's pony Deidara. Inuyasha is a half-kirin, and when he gets angry, his kirin blood awakens and he goes full nirik. Askponydei joked that Deidara would be walking past one day and see Inuyasha flip out and go all nirik on someone and that would be his gay awakening so like... of course I had to draw that.
Anyway Inuyasha/Deidara forever in every AU even the pony AU!

Hey everypony, mun here... uh, I'm Purple Prose. I wanted to personally apologize for kind of falling off the face of Equestria again. I've been struggling with my depression more than usual recently, and it's been keeping me from lots of the things I love, including you ponies. I'm working on getting medicated, but just haven't found what works for me yet. I appreciate everyone's patience while I'm working on myself. Just wanted to give you a heads up of some minor changes you’ll start to see on this blog, including some retroactive ones.
In an attempt to make the blog more accessible for the visually impaired I had been trying to include alt text embedded in images when uploading answers and providing answer transcripts. It seems to me in my limited understanding of coding that the alt text is not sticking the way I expected it to, and therefore not showing up on images, meaning screen readers wouldn’t have image descriptions to give. This is an oversight on my part I’m going to be working to correct.
I will be including image descriptions below a read more in each post from here on out in an attempt to make things more accessible and to prevent posts from turning into dash-stretchers. I will also be going back, slowly but surely, and adding image descriptions to existing posts. I understand that this will upset the way previous posts appear in the tags, but given how old and recently revived this blog is I don’t see that as being an issue. I will also therefore try to keep mun commentary separate from image descriptions, if at all applicable, and clearly label where the beginning and ending of image descriptions was.
I realized having a blind character as part of this blog I really needed to do more to make the blog accessible to blind folks who might also want to enjoy the story I’m attempting to tell.

Spirit Light: I think... my relationship with our mom is kind of complex. She's a good mom. She protects us and cares for us and loves us very much. She is kind, and patient, and always has good wisdom to share... but... Since I lost my sight as a foal, she started treating me different. Not in a bad way, really, but she started doing extra things for me and giving me more specialized attention and kind of treating me like I couldn't do things on my own. I never wanted her to treat me special, or like I was helpless, I just wanted to learn on my own. I don't resent her, but the way she acted then, and sometimes still acts now has made our relationship kind of strained now that I'm an adult.
Ghostfire: Final Toll was a good mother to the both of us... She trained me in magic, protective wards, banishing spells, purification rituals. She's very clever and very kind... but... she always gave my sister special attention. Ever since she lost her vision, mom fawned over Spirit, and had less and less time for me. I'm... sure she didn't mean for it to be that way. Spirit needed the extra care. She wasn't neglectful or anything but, she was distant, less attentive, and... I missed how close we were before. So I got strong on my own, so I wouldn't need to rely on her while she was busy taking care of Spirit. So... I guess that's why later in life we weren't really as close as we used to be when I was a foal.
