A Moth's Atelier

*A tiny mothfrey peers down at Luluci from a risen walkpath, half hiding out of wariness for the familiar red cloak of the Knights, half drawn at maybe having something in common*

[She startles and turns around to look up at the boy] Oh sorry you caught me off guar-

[Her eyes rake over the few inhuman features of the boy she can see then back to his face, a small memory stirs of a young boy under brimmed cap and her instinct to fight lessens.]

*Still, it's an awkward second before he can answer around his scowl, and even then it's quiet*

*Clutched to the little moth's chest is a red book- not too different looking from any other normal spellbook, though.. it certainly looks a little large when held by such skinny arms*

*The little moth tilts his head with a narrowed eye of suspicion, clearly not quite buying it but debating if its worth the fuss to question it. It's not, he settles on, though he jolts a bit when Coco thrusts her hand out*

*An uncomfortable second passes, before it finally registers what he's supposed to do. He's seen Beldaruit do this before..*

*Qifrey starts to reach out his own hand, but it causes the book in his arms to slip- leaving him to awkwardly finagle it into the crook of his arm and cradle of his hidden limbs. His hand is fuzzy in Coco's, and covered in little ticklish feelers*

...nice.. to meet you. I'm- also an apprentice. Of Beldaruit..? Um- wait, there's specific way I'm supposed to say it..

*Qifrey pulls his hand close to his chest, crinkled antennae bending over each other as if bashful. It creates its own sort of buzz- a bit sharper than the ones his wings give off*

*The tense line of his shoulders relax though with Coco's welcoming smile, eased a bit that.. it wasn't a negative comment... probably*

*The little moth cringes a bit, and his face does a little curl of introverted weariness. Well- half his face, the one visible under his fringe and bandages, at least. But he seems to relax a bit as Coco continues to dole out their praises*

*At least they're friendly.. maybe... maybe more-?*

*Agott's name is coming up a lot...*

*He waits for a break in her praises before saying anything*

*Qifrey lets out a squeaky chirp of alarm, wings flaring wide, as he slams his door in Easthies face*

What is a knight doing here!?

*One beat passes. Two. The little moth carefully opens it again to see if he's still there. Upon seeing the grumpy knight, he closes it again- this time a tad softer. He opens it again. Closes it. The opens it for the final time, half hiding behind the wood:*

*you notice as you peer at the man, Easthies seems to be... covered in glitter? Like an obnoxious amount of the stuff. It's even in his eyes and on his teeth*

Well if Lord Beldaruit's caring for you I will have to follow up on this with him and Lord Vinanna before I decide what should be done with you.
