Hello, I come here with a massive Josh Lore Dump. This one to detail Josh’s cybernetics, and most of the core lore around them.

Anyways, to establish a few things first: 1. Josh is the daughter of Aapur and Kro. The heads of the SnowStone Foundation(Kinda a corporation, but at the same time not as they don’t work for profit, and push for a better life for everyone) 2. Josh was created using medical technology, rather than born conventionally. She was the result of a test of a medical device that until then only was used to create replacement organs using stem cells and bio-accelerates. This also created a twin sister of her named Scarlett 3. Nanite Forge Technology has the ability to create matter from energy, and vice versa. They draw power from a black hole using quantum fuckery, and can print out whole cities in a few hours if enough nanites are being deployed. 4. SnowStone would give the various R&D Teams in the SnowStone Tower and various labs plenty of resources to pursue experimental tech, to help push for progress. 5. Snowstone has an AI named Cherry who’s core is a Planet-Sized Quantum Computer.

Anyways when Josh was 18, she was poisoned by someone intending to break her mothers up. He used a neurotoxin that intended to do a slow death by killing the nerves in the body, and then the brain last. Her sister found her in time and she was given an antidote in time to save her brain, but her body was essentially disconnected from it as the rest of her nerves were destroyed. One of the researchers had, however, developed an experimental cybernetic tech that was an artificial neural grid. This had until now not been tested, but Aapur made the decision to install this into Josh to give her the ability to live back.

Thanks to Cherry, any potential flaws in this system were simulated, tested, and fixed. Using Nanites, the fixes were also implemented live. The nanites themselves were injected to help establish the finer parts of the neural grid, but they remained to maintain it. Josh would spend a month recovering. During this month she prodded around her own systems, and would eventually work with Cherry to create custom code that not only claimed personal control of her neural grid, but also of the nanites so she could redefine herself at will. And also use the nanites to create/decompose matter around herself for fun. She also worked with Hilda(Head of Cybersecurity) to create the Aegis Protocol, allowing her cybernetics to protect her. This includes keeping her out of situations she does not consent to, and doing literal world jumps should the world she’s in end.

Josh doesn’t sleep anymore, as the darkness makes her feel the same fear she felt as her body faded. She can also jump between worlds at will. And redefine her body as she pleases without issues. Also her cybernetic eyes are super advanced. And can generate a holographic cover that makes them appear entirely biological, or fancies them up because why not.

Josh can slave any computer system to herself, making them an extension of her will. You need some highly advanced quantum encryption to keep her out. Her cybernetics and nanites allows her to do this with ease.
