James was lost in his world, not hearing Thomas.

Thomas went to hom and touched his shpilder. “James.”

James jumped and nearly screamed unil he relized it was Thomas. “Christ, Thomas! When did you get here?!”

“2 minutes ago.” he said softly.

James took in some deep breaths. "Okay..." he looked like he's been crying all day.

James was lost in his world, not hearing Thomas.

It was another ordinary day at Thomas’ house. It had been several days since his little lovers spat and James seemed even colder and worse with keeping up with communication than usual. But that didn’t stop Thomas from sending his usual good morning text and going about his house to get ready for work.

James rang Thomas doorbell once, waited a few seconds before rapidly pressing it over and over and over again. He didn’t care that it could be annoying.

Thomas sighed, waking to the door, probably one of those damn mormons. How many times did he have to tell them he wasnt interested? But Thomas opened the door and he didn’t see a Mormon, he saw James.

James dropped his hand from the doorbell. “Hello…” he said quietly, not meeting Thomas’ eyes. He looked a bit more tired than usual.

Thomas’ jaw dropped. “James…I can’t believe you’re here. What’s wrong? Are you okay?”

"I...I...." James sniffed, looking down. "I'm sorry, Thomas....I never ment to get so upset with you like this..."

“I mean, him and I are best friends so it would make since for us to be close.” James shifted a bit. He kept his eyes on the numbers counting down.

Lafayette took to untying their bun to readjust it. “Mhm, of course. Friendship is a beautiful thing.” They glance at James with a knowing look.

“Yeah. It is.” James was starting to catch on to what Laf was implying. He watched the door open and he quickly moved out.

Lafayette quickly tied off the rest of the hairband and followed after James. They held the door open for James before walking ahead once more to unlock their car, once inside the waited for him to hop in aswell.

James got inside the car. It took everything out of him not to lean againt and the window and doze off.

Lafayette hummed and started the car, cranking on the heater with a smile. “Now James. You can’t tell me that whatever is between you and Thomas is nothing more than a friendship. I see the way he looks at you when you do not see.” They wiggle a brow.

“I know what youre you implying and there is /nothing/ between Thomas and I. You’re reading into things.” James glared over at them.

Lafayette put their hands up. “I am just saying Mon ami, if I were to look at someone like the way Thomas looks at you, I’d say I was in… Oh what is the word you Americans use…” They thought for a moment before smirking over at James. “Ah yes. Love.” They winked to add effect before pulling out of their space.

“Stop pretending you don’t know basic English words. It’s not cute or funny.” James said bitterly, crossing his arms.

Lafayette chuckled and shrugged. “Come now, it is a little funny.” They started to drive before glancing to James again. “Your address mon ami? Street name as well if you please?”

James told them where he lived, struggling not to fall asleep in the car.

James was half focused on finding Lafayette and half focused on watching for and dogs. He took another sip from his cup.

Alex smiled when he heard Lafayette’s voice. “Over this way.” he said, glancing over his shoulder at them.

Thomas followed along, catching sight of his doppelgänger.

“Hey! Hey! Lafayette!” James speed walked over to the man. He engaged in conversation with Lafayette, who was a bit surprise James started a conversation with him.

“I think he’s enjoying Lafayette’s company more than ours.” Alex said to Thomas, looking up at him.

Thomas pouted. “You think he’ll break up with us for the smooth talking Frenchman?”

James took frequent sips from his cup as he talk to Laf. He kept up the conversation for a good three minutes before he ran out of whiskey. He headed back to his boyfriends. “I’m back…”

“He might.” Alex said to Thomas, just a few moments before James’ return. “What did you and Lafayette converse about?”

“Are you gonna leave us for him?” Thomas pouted.

“Where the hell did you get that idea from?” James asked, clearly shocked. “It wasn’t like I was flirting with hin or anything, I was actually talking about you two to him for most of the conversation.” he frowned. “I feel offended.”

Alex elbowed Thomas in his side for being so brash. “James, he’s kidding. He and I both know you would do something like that.”

“I know you wouldn’t leave us.” Thomas smiled. “You love us too much.”

“Uh-huh.” James nodded. He finished his drink and leaned against Alexander. He hid his arms in his cloak. “I wouldn’t want to leave Thomas….And I guess you too, Alexander..”

“Wow. Thanks. That means so much to me.” Alex said, rolling his eyes.

“Well I love you.” Thomas said, leaning down and kissing Alex.

James was still leaning on Alex. He scrunched up his nose. “Hey….!” he pulled Alex’s head away and stood up straight. He leaned up a bit to kiss Alex, his hand still on the other man’s face.

Alex frowned as he was pulled from the kiss, but turned to look at James, plastering an amused smile on his face. “Yes, James?”

Thomas watched James kiss Alex, smiling slightly. “My god you guys are both so gorgeous.”

James pulled away, glancing over at Thomas. “I guess…”

Alex smiled in a pleased manner. “I don’t know about you two, but I’ve just been kissed by two very handsome men, so I’m going to go grab more to drink as to make this feeling of euphoria last longer.” he said, stepping away from the pair, heading back towards the refreshments table once more.

Thomas leaned down and kissed James. “I love you.”

“I-” James finished his drink. “Love you too.” he said, trying to hide in his cloak.

Alex returned back to them, a cup filled to the brim in each hand—he was drinking from both. “Ooo, are we writing a love novel over here?”

Thomas rolled his eyes. “How wasted are you two planning to get?”

James shrugged and leaned down to take a few sips from one of Alex's cups.
