… *sigh* it is complicated. The boy is a perpetual child, seeking approval and guarding it jealousy when he receives it. I feel as though he has been so many other people throughout his life that he has left very little room for himself and his own feelings. His life has been a cycle of gain and loss, and that can put an enormous strain on anyone's psyche, let alone a developing child. He neglects his found family in place of a family he can never truly have, something he has created in his own mind, and when something challenges that, he becomes combative and aggressive.

M!A Chapter Zero (8/10)

I needed a break from the USA for a while for... reasons, so I started looking in reflections as far away from it as I could. I happened upon the mirror of the old man's house by accident, his son was over and they were arguing. They do that a lot. I was tempted to follow the son at first, but I stayed after to watch the old man. More people came over that day, his "henchman", his "nephew", and other sorts. None of them were... very pleasant of conversations, but every time he still smiled at them and was warm as could be.

.... I feel as though he could have done this better. Do I feel good to have waged war against my own kind and humanity in this way? No. Do I see where he is coming from? Yes.

He lives up to the face he wears, sweetness but holds such terrible power that can end the world. We are doing our best to tilt his anger and wrath to other things. He can do so much good for the world, I know he can, but he is blinded by rage and hate. He brought us back after all, something humanity has only dreamed of. And yet I fear Fall is fanning his flames of revolution and sabotaging our attempts to calm him down. But... I still have faith in Chickadee. He will do the right thing when the time comes.
