OPEN RP. BEACH EVENT THING HOORAY

It had taken six hours of meticulous planning for Suki to realise that, really, there was no organising something like this- a beach trip with the amount of people she'd invited, all wildly different. So she'd sent out a date, time, and location, (and a request to only bring small weapons please, she could not handle more bloodshed than absolutely necessary) and let God do the rest.

She sat now on this beach (blissfully empty, for now) wrapped in a cardigan, waiting for the absolute chaos she had brought upon herself to begin.

Ok ok so this is an OPEN RP thingamajig. I wanted to do a summer event thing and the general population voted beach trip so here we are!! Anyone, and I mean ANYONE can join, just don't start a fight (ooc) etc etc.

Anyway yeah go crazy

Though strange to receive such an invitation, Aleksandr thought it could be nice to get around people once more and make amends. Yeah, he did felt a bit like he was invading their space because... Well, all of his past. Still, he just needed to check how everyone was, and if it was his turn to sit and listen. Besides, the beach could be fun. Maybe. He was more of a mountains guy.

Arriving maybe a bit too dressed, he sat down for a moment to take his backpack and pull a bottle of cold whiskey. Just to get social, he took a large sip of it like he didn't plan to drive back home.

Suki had migrated from her beach chair to a more shaded spot. She squinted at Aleksandr from where she sat, not quite sure what to make of his sudden appearance.

Finally, she sighed, readjusting her hat. "Hey," she called, giving him a wave and a warm smile. "Nice of you to join." There was no malice in her tone.

Aleksandr glanced back at her, greeting her with a wave of his drink. There's a faint smile on the corners of his lips. "Hello." He leaned back on his seat, quickly viewing the rest of the people gathered there.

"Nice of you to invite me." He answered politely, glancing back at her, to examine her appearance briefly.

She hadn't taken off her cardigan, despite the heat, and wore a scarf that covered her neck; her hair was dark, streaked through with white under the floppy hat she wore.

"Would've been rude if I hadn't," she answered.

"Not really." He offered the bottle in his hand, still with plenty of liquid to go around. "Care for a drink? I also have some water if you are not fond of the alcohol." His smile grew to somewhat less tense and more friendly.

"I'm okay, but thanks." Suki reached for her water and waved it a little. "I'm covered." Certainly not unfriendly, just cautious.

He nodded, understanding. "Care to join me for a while, if you got nothing to do?" Aleksandr took another small sip of his beverage, wiping the excess with his sleeve. "If you don't mind, that is."

What made you realize you wanted to change your ways? Is there any story behind that?

No, I'm afraid. It was an accumulation of things that piled up, which then lead to the first harsh realization.

You want a more dramatic story? I begun building in my spare time, long years ago, and not exactly legos. I was alone, because I had destroyed everything and everyone around me, I spent days working until my hands began to bleed. Then, when I was finally done, I noticed.

When I wanted to celebrate, there was no one but subordinates around me. People who, instead of cherishing my accomplishments, simply nodding feverously to my words. People who were broken and seeked guidance, or those who simply wanted bloodshed spilled in the name of "justice".

It was in that moment, when I was so close to achieving my goal, that I found out how ridiculous it was. What was the purpose of winning if there were no winners left?

I am glad I did not go through with my plans, and I am glad I stopped when I did. I don't think I could sleep at night after that, if I hadn't seen clearly what I was doing.
