I’ve been feeling a little discouraged and run down lately. I haven’t been doing as well as I would like to in my classes, and it seems like I’m working hard and losing sleep for no reason. But I’m trying to remind myself to take things one day and one step at a time. And also to appreciate good things like sunsets, coffee, and seeing holiday decorations up around the city.

Back in the library! I could not focus or stay awake while trying to study for my developmental psych exam tomorrow. So I called it quits after about an hour and decided I’d go to bed early and wake up early tomorrow. But we’ll see if that actually happens haha.

It’s officially cold. Last week we had highs of 85°F/29°C and now it’s 33°F/0°C and that’s just too drastically different. To the library tonight I wore sweat pants over my leggings as well as a tee shirt, a sweat shirt, and a jacket. If I had a hat I’d put that on too but alas. At least I’ll get to wear a sweater tomorrow!

attended a 3 hrs lecture on chemical kinetics

studying photosynthesis right now for tomorrow's botany lecture

I've been struggling to put in the hours since I came back from my family trip (and the momentum was broken) do you have any tips on how to study for longer hours at a stretch? I need to catch up with a week's worth of study material and everything seems overwhelming and i keep avoiding facing the huge pending syllabus.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it’s cold enough to use the fireplace this weekend🤞🏾🍂

1/11/22 | lunch break and physiology notes

can’t believe it’s already halfway through my first term at uni! ngl it’s difficult to stay on top of everything, it feels like i’m trying to keep up with a moving train ;v;

for halloween i caught up on 3 maths lectures in one sitting. high-key very scary.

i have 2 essays due this week (since when was biochemistry an arts subject?) and 2 questions sheets. but i only have one 6-hour lab so i actually have time to finish the essays and i’m so grateful for that :)
