I tried to approach her like a painting. Hi guys ! A little bit of “personal” advertising :) I’m supervising the Light & Shadow department at The Spa Studios and we are looking for Light & Shadow Artists !
The SPA Studios is looking for Light and Shadow Artists to join us on this challenging and exciting project that is Klaus!
Responsibilities: Create and shape highlights and shadows on top of the animated character, to represent the light sources in the scene, and to enhance clarity and aesthetic of the frame. Animate these lighting elements with our unique software. Keep the consistency of form and style throughout animated scenes.
Requirements: Basic drawing and understanding of light, and how it affects three dimensional objects. Ability to interpret 2D stylized drawings and to propose their three-dimensional form through lighting. Written and spoken English is a must. No 3D is involved in the process. It doesn’t require any special technical skills. We use in-house software and provide training.
Who should apply: Animation and VFX school graduates Rotoscope artists Concept artists Clean-up artists Junior animators Anyone who believes they’re have the right sensibility and wants to start working in animation industry. Ability to relocate and right to work in Madrid a bonus

Waldorf Emergency Update
This is Waldorf.
For those who have been following along, you already know that Waldorf is the runt of a litter of kittens we rescued and are fostering until they can be fixed and adopted into good homes.
Waldorf was born with pectus excavatum, a deformity in his chest affecting his heart, and is also probably somewhere between 75% - 80% the weight of his littermates. He’s little.
Recently the whole litter came down with a small stomach bug. Everyone else has recovered and is back to eating and growing.
Waldorf has not. He’s been losing his appetite. He’s still vomiting. He’s having diarrhea.
We took him to the vet late last night and they said keep an eye on him. This morning he’s so lethargic we worry he’s beyond our abilities. He has to go back to the vet, which is where we are taking him now.
Most likely he’s going to be left there for care and observation.
Even with the help of Stray Cat Alliance we may not be able to cover the cost of his care. We need help.

This was fun and quick to paint! Definitely need to invest in a variety if sized brushes and masking fluid. Not sure how I felt about the green colored pencil outline, but it definitely gave the piece some life. It was a long day at work and I’m ready to start painting again. Hooray for taking nice pictures of my art! @asiabearx on Instagram
