shii is a great final boss. he thinks he's eigong but unfortunately he will never be her (took me only like 3 days to beat him but i was taking a lotta breaks). some of those moves are fucking crazy, i was one hit from dying when i beat him and honestly wasnt even looking at either of our health so it came as quite a surprise. i must say it was actually really sad to see him just limply die and fall off the platform tho 😢😢😢 he was niceys... ultimately he just wanted to live and keep preserving everyone's lives. i don't agree with what the spine did, especially considering The Lura Implications (stares at you really fucking hard. that's still one of my favourite parts of the game oh my goddd.), but i think shii is quite understandable, even if he wanted to sacrifice mio for it.

speaking of which. LIKE COME ONNN WHY CANT SHE LIVE... i understand gathering the voices was a suicide mission from the start for her but 😢 my spoinky.... my thingy... its so sad man. seeing her just curl up and die :(((((((( and then ati coming back for her oh my godddd. they actually make me sick. no matter the ending or the fate of the vessel they both die. but at least this time they could be together in death. genuinely heartbreaking. this game. oh mygod. its actually sickening.

yhis is something from the normal ending too but the heart is like insanely cool looking. i love the pulsing and like growing(?) effect? and going around and slowly seeing the original human hanging suspended in there is also stare worthy. something about the voices all having tiny human bodies inside their shells just really gets me, just like from a body horror perspective alone. it's so so so good. the way the humans look to be dead(?) but their bodies are still kept in there even though their minds are now in the shells... i eat it up.

i was hoping there'd be a nine sols esque sneak peek of the promised land and i was quite surprised by how much more there was... first things first i quite like the difference in movement design between robot and human. the little human guy needs a moment to recover after jumping down, was the most obvious thing i noticed, but also they're slower and their movement just feels a bit different in other ways i can't explain. it's just good little details.

HOWEVER. im glad that they accomplished their goal and saved humanity i guess but i really would've liked to see at least some of the robots survive??? especially since now that there's humans again, presumably their slowly accumulating decay could be repaired?? like it kind of feels empty for me when we never saw humans the whole game, i honestly assumed they were all dead until entering the precious sample room. the whole thing was about the robots and then actually the robots are all just dead in the end... i don't like that. give me back my robots. idc about humanity. i also think it would've hit harder if humanity actually was all gone and the only thing they could do was to save the robots, because don't the robots matter? isn't that one of the themes? or was i just reading into it all along? idk. i think there should've been a message of the robots deserving to live just as much as the humans. but that's just my bias. gorgeous environment on the planet and seeing the big egg did make me gasp.
