rahu x Mrigashira

In Greek mythology, Daedalus was a brilliant inventor who found himself trapped by his own success. After building the labyrinth for King Minos of Crete, he and his son Icarus were imprisoned on the island so that the secret of the maze would never leave it. Escape by sea was impossible, so Daedalus turned to the one route Minos could not guard: the sky. He gathered feathers and bound them with wax into two pairs of wings.

Before they took off, Daedalus gave his son a careful warning. For him to hold a middle; not so low that the sea spray would weigh down the feathers, and not so high that the sun would soften the wax.But obviously the joy of freedom while flying overwhelmed the boy. And he,Icarus, forgot his father’s words and climbed toward the sun. The wax melted, the feathers scattered, and he fell right to the sea and drowned while his father called his name in vain.

Now going back to vedic astrology, i always thought of icarus as Mrigashira, you know a deer dazzled by headlights just to be crashed by it ?The kasturi mriga, the musk deer running itself to death chasing a scent that comes from its own navel?Yeah that mrigashira and thats also icarus

That’s the cruelest version of Mrigashira’s searching quality: the light that kills isn’t even where the deer thinks it is. Icarus is flying toward a sun that was never a destination.. it was only heat, and the wax told him so.

For context Achilles was the greatest Greek warrior in Greek mythology, and the main hero of Homer's Iliad.He was the son of the mortal king Peleus and the sea nymph Thetis.

The tragic turn in his life began when his companion, Patroclus, used his armor as a disguise to go to the battlefield in his place (since Achilles was too proud and refused to return to the war over an insult). By doing so, Patroclus hoped the Trojans would think Achilles had returned to battle and retreat in fear. However, this desperate plan ended up real shitty when Hector killed Patroclus thinking it was achilles.

Achilles obviously on the other side was twicking out by his rage and his grief over the death of his beloved , to the point that he altered the destiny of Troy..

This is Ardra Nakshatra coming to life in real time, his grief transforming into a violent that destroys everything.When Achilles lost Patroclus, the illusion of his invincible ego was wiped clean by an overwhelming sense of loss,but how can he just accept that? Ofc not

What came after wasn’t mourning! It was Rahu unfolding : an obsession that couldn’t be reasoned with, couldn’t be satisfied. Achilles doesn’t just kill Hector, he drags the corpse for days, refusing to let go(Classic Rahu) a hunger that can’t be stopped because it wasnt just really about revenge, it was self-loathing..

I feel like the thing with ardra people is that they cant just accept it ,no,they will cling to the self pity,the great revenge plan,literally anything but actually letting go and accepting their fate

Normal people : loss -> yeah well it happens

ardra→ loss -> clinging to the pain (Rahu) -> crashing under the weight of sadness->ego death->(purification)

Although I wouldn’t blame it all on ardra i think he definitely has uttara ashadha in him
