It's no secret that I've been dealing with some life struggles lately. So, things are slowly starting to get on track, but I just wanted to share this today, because for all of you out there who are experiencing rough times, just know you're not alone. Even people like myself who build a career around helping others and motivating people experience times that feel extremely defeating. But for me, it helps to know I'm not alone. Even when it doesn't feel like it, it could always be worse so we just need to appreciate what we do have in our lives and keep pushing forward. Be thankful for your blessings no matter how small they may seem. I hope this helps someone out there who is facing a struggle. Keep your heart open and your face to the sun. Needed this reminder today. After taking the time to rest yesterday from our long trip back to Georgia, I'm looking forward to getting caught up in my work and focus on coaching again. Life's not always rainbows and butterflies and sometimes seems more than we can handle , but I'm hoping that turning my attention back to something that fulfills my purpose will help turn things around for our family. #ThrowbackThursday I'm so thankful that I can consider such a beautiful & humble place home. No matter where I am in the world, my heart will always live here. Thanks to my dad's lifelong obsession with fishing, he discovered this small fishing town as a young boy and would live for each weekend to find a ride up so he could get his next fix. Too young to drive, and having no money, he literally lived on the thrill of that next bend of the rod and squeal of the drag. He slept on the pier at night and spent countless hours of his young life growing up living this life that became so much apart of who he is as a person, leading to become so much apart of who I am. Spending my so much of life and literally hundreds upon hundreds of hours fishing the piers, beaches, and rivers with my dad here throughout my entire life is something I'm honestly proud of. Memories I'll hold onto forever. Lessons that molded my being. We were the family that packed up as soon as the work week was over to head north so we could continue to live this life, and I didn't always appreciate it the way I should have but lord knows I do now. I'm so excited to give my baby boy the same experiences, watch him grow here, and create more memories with my own family in this place that holds so much of my heart.
