This period I learnt the different ways of citing the sources that I use while doing a research paper. I also learnt the different ways of writing a paragraph depending on what I want to express. There are expository paragraphs, description, definition and each of them has it's own rules. I chose these different items, because I like to show how daily topics can be related to the topics seen in class and that this helped me understood better each of them. It was really interesting to join topics that I like, such as sports, with the practice of the things seen in class. Well, this semester I felt everything was going to be easy, but it wasn't like that. Writing has special rules very important that we learnt during this level. To improve my performance, it's important to practice mechanics a lot, because they are very useful while writing texts. It is also very useful to make the revising and editing part during your writing to check and correct any mistake you have.

I chose this activity because I think this topic is very useful in our daily life. In scholar works or projects, we always have to cite the sources of which we obtained the information. This topic is related with all the subjects, when you cite your sources.

I chose this activity because I liked very much to remember my first love and write of it. I loved to made an activity in which I could use a personal experience to practice in the things learnt in class. What I didn't like much or it was a little embarrassing was that other people commented on it. In real life, when I had to develop a writing, I know the techniques that I can use for creating it.

It has been very interesting to work out making different speeches of different types. I saw the different types of speeches I have done in the semester and I have improve considerably. Now I make more body language, I welcome better the audience and summarize my presentation at the end. This semester I learnt how to deliver speeches in a proper way in order to make better presentations in the future for other clases. The Q&A sesión was very interesting because we learnt how to deal with the different kind of questions made by the audience. I liked very much my last speech and I think I was only missing to transition better from one another.

This week, we finish our demonstrative speeches that in general were very well done. Also, we started seeing some characteristics of the persuasive speech in order to start making our persuasive speech. First, we chose a topic and started searching for information to support our ideas. We made our outline for our presentation and we saw some strategies to convince the audience depending on their opinion in front of our topic. Also, we saw different patterns to organize our ideas during the presentation. :)

Well, I think our demonstrative speech was more complete than the previous speeches we have deliver thats why we got the grade we had. We just have to be more patient and try not to get nervous while answering to the questions the audience made. Also, vary more our voices during the presentation. But in general, our presentation was very well done.

This week, they have been presenting the demonstrative speeches and I have been seeing details in order to improve our demonstrative speech. I also learnt how to be a respectful audience and why it is important to help our classmates deliver a well done speech. I liked many of the presentations they have done, there can be seen a lot of work of each team. Also I learnt that your clothes can say many things of yourself, so it is important to select well what you are going to wear while giving your speech. Your audience can be identify with you just because of your clothes. Try to use colors that give you confidence and credibility with you audience. ;)

-WHAT IS PUBLIC IMAGE? The ideas and opinions that a public has about a person or an organization that may not be what they are really like. -HOW DO CLOTHES AFFECT PEOPLE'S PERCEPTION OF YOU? How you dress has a big impact on how people view you, and how you view yourself. According to 99U, it's not about dressing one specific way though, it's about considering your audience and using that to your advantage. Research shows that people who wear more daring outfits are perceived as more attractive and individual, which could be advantageous in more creative industries. -WHICH CLOTHES ARE APPROPIATE? WHY? Casual dress can also be more persuasive, depending on your audience. It is important to choose our dress style carefully because people will make all sorts of assumptions and decisions about us without proper evidence. It is good option because as your audience is young, they can feel identify with you and remember casual is not informal. -WHICH CLOTHES ARE NOT APPROPIATE? WHY? Always strive to look presentable through good grooming/hygiene and have an overall tidy appearance. 1. Avoid clothing with holes in it or that is overly casual (hoodies, sweatpants...) 2. Avoid clothes that are inappropriately revealing 3. Wear clothes that fit you, but are not so tight that they restrict your movement 4. Females—Keep makeup natural & simple 5. Males—Avoid wearing a hat before giving a presentation (hats are typically inappropriate during a speech and hat-hair is never professional). -COLORS Colors that are not appropriate for public speaking are neon colors, blue navy, white or colors that make us feel bad or doesn't make a true statement. However mixing correctly the colors can make you look better and stablished a true good looking. It is a demonstrative speech that explains how to tie a tie. He started to welcome the audience but he isn't enthusiastic while explaining the procedure. He introduced himself briefly and said which was his topic, but he didn't outline the presentation. He didn't use an attention getter and he didn't state the relevance of the topic. He didn't use visuals because he gave the speech directly to a small audience in a living room. He had much eye contact with his audience and used a tie in order to show the audience step by step. In the other hand, he didn't move or very posture and he didn't vary intonation. He didn't transition smoothly to the next topic because there was just one main topic that was the procedure of how to tie a tie, but he connected each step effectively.
