Been noticing Mercury nakshatra women tending to have “exotic” features differing from their race or ethnicity of origin, which often has people mistake them for being mixed even if they’re not. And, interestingly, i have actually seen that a lot of mixed women (regardless of what their racial mixture is) do in fact have Mercury nakshatras on their primary placements. So maybe people are unconsciously noticing that connection that “these mixed women usually have these features so if i see a woman with these features i just immediately assume she is even if shes not”.
I find this interesting because the birth of Mercury/Budha in the vedic stories is that he was an illegitimate child of Moon (things that are common, the general masses and public) and Jupiter (all things foreign and exotic). It was said that Tara, the wife of Brihaspati (Jupiter) had an affair with Chandra, The Moon God, and from that affair lead to the birth of Budha or Mercury. Brihaspati and Chandra both demanded paternity of Budha out of rage but Brahma intervened and gave Brihaspati legal paternity of Budha, despite him biologically being Chandra’s child. Because Tara is the consort of Brihaspati, she is also considered to be a female equivalent of Jupiter as a planetary energy, so it is seen that Budha has both traits of Moon and Jupiter in him. So he has both what is common and average (Moon) and what is exotic and foreign (Jupiter), which explains why the natives of Mercury nakshatras can be seen as having these features that people deem to be ethereal and otherworldly, which are things that are also often attributed to racially mixed people as they tend to look far different (in a sort of otherworldly way) from most people despite having visible traits of both of their parens racial backgrounds. There is even a common belief that mixed people tend to be more physically attractive due to their unique blend of features that can’t be found easily in one race. This belief has even made people question if uncannily attractive people are mixed by default, even when they’re not. For example, I remember growing up and people would always be asking if Angelina Jolie (Revati), Lucy Liu (Jyeshta), and Megan Fox (Ashlesha) were mixed with something, anything because a lot of people couldn’t wrap their head around how they have their particular features if they are fully one race. It also happened a lot with Rihanna (who may be a Revati moon) and Nicki Minaj (Jyeshta), Paris Jackson (Revati), etc. People would be saying Angelina Jolie must have some Indigenous American in her to have her lips and jaw or that Lucy Liu must be part white, stuff like that. Neither of which is true by the way. A lot of Mercurials actually are mixed though, like Katya Elise Henry (Revati), Eileen Gu (Jyeshta), Isabelle Perschardt (Jyeshta), Meghan Markle (Ashlesha), Chrissy Teigen (Jyeshta), Hailee Seinfeld (Jyeshta), Tiger Woods (Jyeshta), Sade (Revati), Naomi and Mari Osaka (Revati), Yara Shahidi (Revati), Halle Berry (Ashlesha), etc.
Claire Nakti also mentioned that Mercury nakshatra women tend to have admirers from men and women due to a mix of physical intrigue and mild jealousy for their looks (as external beauty is a symbol of mastery over one’s spiritual energy and the material plane, which is also related to how Mercury maneuvers its way through the world as it is shared energy with Saraswati and Matangi). This could be due to the fact that there is an unspoken belief amongst the masses that mixed people (and people who have what some deem to be “mixed” features, even if they aren’t actually mixed) are more attractive than the rest of the population, and thus have an easier time moving upward in life due to “pretty privilege”. So Mercury nakshatra women having these sort of exotic and ethereal features can be the source of that intrigue and jealousy as people unconsciously sense the spiritual and material power that it holds from its mixture of energy from Mercury, Moon, and Jupiter.
I’ve also seen Jupiter nakshatras and Venus nakshatras being very common amongst people who are actually mixed-race in most cases and not just people assuming they are due to the physical features being different from expectation.
For example, Somi (Purva Bhadrapada, Purva Phalguni, and Purva Ashadha), Keanu Reeves (Punarvasu and Purva Phalguni), Rashida Jones (Purva Ashadha), Kidada Jones (Purva Bhadrapada), Mariah Carey (Bharani and Punarvasu), Kehlani (Bharani), Zayn Malik (Purva Phalguni), Gigi Hadid (Bharani), Bella Hadid (Purva Phalguni), Anwar Hadid (Purva Phalguni), Jason Mamoa (Vishaka), Dwayne Johnson (Bharani), Olivia Munn (Purva Bhadrapada), Nicole Scherzinger (Purva Phalguni), Zendaya (Purva Phalguni), etc.
I might talk about this at a later date because you can probably notice there are some common nakshatras showing up repeatedly here such as Jyeshta, Purva Bhadrapada, Purva Ashadha, and Purva Phalguni 👀👀👀👀 Shukra is the teacher of the Asuras and Brihaspati is the teacher of the Devas 👀👀👀 Jyeshta is the seat of the Chief Elder God, Lord Indra 👀👀👀
I noticed the same thing lol my chart is SO full of mercury influence and my friends find it so funny how whenever we're out together people come up to me to ask if i'm from XYZ
