The Toronto band The C'Mons have created one of the best covers I've ever heard of Third Eye Blind's "Semi-Charmed Life." 

The Boxer (Simon & Garfunkel Cover) - Mumford & Sons with Jerry Douglas 

I've been scarce lately. Like super scarce. 

But hearing this cover of one of my favorite Arcade Fire songs, it shocked me back into realizing I have a music blog where I can share really awesome songs!

My obsession Lana del Rey released the music video for my favorite track, "National Anthem", from her album Born to Die. It could not be more perfect. Happy 4th everyone!

I think Regina Spektor and Eloise would be the best of friends. 

Monday Icelandic band Sigur Ros released their video for Fjögur píanó from their new album Valtari. I don't know if a music video has ever made me cry before, but this one certainly did. 

I tried really hard. I really did. I didn't want to post a cover of this god-awful song. But I've been obsessed with this cover for a week straight so I decided it's time that I post it. 

Ben Howard was in the BBC 1 Radio Live Lounge back in May and did the most wonderful cover of "Call Me Maybe." Like seriously. If this was the version that was first released, I would have totally jumped on that obsession bandwagon the rest of the world had with this song. Like, who decided to bring a cello into the mix? Brilliant. 

This is really strange. I've already posted a cover of this song. And I don't even like this song that much. But I do love Alex Clare. And for some reason I feel inclined to share his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance of Fun.'s "We Are Young" (you know, because we all haven't heard this song 500 million times by now). 

Boys and girls, my life has officially been made.

The Black Keys are getting their own tribute album, Black on Blues, which is just amazing in itself. BUT now the first single is out. None other than Iggy Pop and Ginger Baker have done an awesome cover of "Lonely Boy" from the most recent El Camino album. SO FUCKING GOOD! Everyone knows how much I love covers of songs -- but you also know I can't stand covers that just sound like a regurgitation of its original. Out of the thousand covers I've heard of the overplayed Fun. song "We Are Young," this one stands out as its own version.
