Leia split my ear open last night trying to climb around my face

This is my favorite Nirvana album for soo many reasons. Steve Albini produced, self-loathing fueled, really just perfect. And while I was thinking about that I realized what I can't seem to come to terms with in modern music. Everything sounds TOO good. The musicians are incredibly talented, the mix is together, and then....who cares. Music is big money now, and these talented people who would've been lawyers or entrepreneurs or something are now putting there Alpha dominance into music. So then it sucks now. This isn't a well thought out gripe. I'm just drunk and love the good ol' days. 

They aren't wrong.

I don't want to be a ninja, I don't want to be a pirate, or a ghost, or Mariah Carey (again). This Halloween I just want to be drunk and in bed by 2. 

I don't ever feel fried, and I don't get baked, but my brain has popped before.

The Decline made my day today. I've been reading Mitch Clem's Pop Punk List (part 5 now I think) and it reminded me that I found "The Decline" on a jukebox once and it didn't go over so well. But shit, it was 99 cents.
