the worst memories of being bullied is when ppl would pretend not to be bullying you and ask you questions and u thought they were just asking u stuff but they were actually laughing at you the entire time and u had no idea bcos you were young and you didnt understand why people would be mean to you when you didnt do anything wrong. 

I spent a lot of my childhood in a constant state of “this is a trap but I don’t know how”

This stayed with me. Sometimes when people are nice to me, I still think they have bad intentions.

the first time i was asked out it was a joke. that was the 8th grade, and i’d already been bullied so much i knew it was a trap.

I’ve got autism myself so I never understood when people were trying to be horrible to me by doing that, even when I was like 22-23 people still did things like that or basically sealion me about why I was listening to music instead of playing football or as I got older why I had long hair. I had someone ask me out a few times as a teen as a joke and it just screwed with me, when I was 16 one girl did it and I kept telling her I didn’t believe her, then she made me feel bad and acted like she genuinely liked me so I believed her and then at the end of the day she burst out laughing and said it was a joke. The following year I met someone who did like me, everyone in my college just wouldn’t believe me when we were dating and it screwed with me, I got paranoid she was like them when she wasn’t and after we broke up just had no self worth as I think everyone secretly hates me.

This, a million times this. Being an autistic person growing up in the ‘90s to the late 2000s I always felt frustrated when people would tell me to stop headcanoning that Zuko from Aang, Squall from Final Fantasy VIII and Lilo were autistic.
