Since we’re discussing new lesbian flag ideas, I decided I’d make one and see how y'all like it.

Red- Red represents love between women which is deep, strong, and beautiful.

Hot Pink- This pink represented sex + sexuality in the original flag designed by Gilbert Baker. This stripe was dropped from the rainbow flag because of fabric shortages, and this is also a way to keep part of the original flag alive even if it’s been modified.

Salmon Pink- This stripe showcases femininity. A large part of lesbianism has been based around femininity and our relationship to womanhood which can sometimes be complex and difficult to understand, so it’s placed near the center to represent its importance to us as lesbians.

Light Pink- Gender is another core part of lesbianism, which is why it’s also placed near the center of the flag. This stripe commemorates our relationship to femininity and masculinity while celebrating trans and nonbinary lesbians.

Medium Purple- Violets have historically been a symbol of love between women. Sappho also frequently referenced violets in her poems, so these flowers will always be a symbol of love between women. Sapphic women used to give violets to the women they liked, so this stripe is a color similar to the petals on the flower.

Indigo- Lesbians have a rich + strong culture. This stripe celebrates our history, culture, and the strength in our community. This color is deep and bold, so it represents our culture well.

hi I’m a cis ace lesbian, I’m 18 and these are my opinions: 

ace and aro are valid identities but aren’t inherently lgbt

aces and aros aren’t oppressed but they do face discrimination  

the split attraction model is helpful for aro and ace people but not for others

aces and aros can be straight and/or cishet

cishet aces and aros can’t reclaim the q slur

pan is a valid identity and not inherently biphobic or transphobic, but if you’re using pan bc you like ‘boys girls AND trans people’, the whole ‘hearts not parts’ thing, or bc you think the bi label is regressive then you’re gross

mogai is hella bad

pedos either need to get therapy or die

terfs and fujoshis are gross

trans people who don’t transition or don’t try to pass are valid and they’re still trans

nonbinary genders are valid
