What: A Thunderclap Everyone signs up to Thunderclap. If we hit the 250 people, the tweets/posts will be made when the next episode airs, spreading out a big, unified blast on the internet with a wide reach because of each person’s followers. *This time I opted for a higher goal since we did so well last time.
When: Sign up before March 2, 2017 9pm est The tweets/posts will go out when Riverdale’s second to last episode airs. Why: Jughead in Archie Comics is the most well known, cannonly asexual and aromantic character. The CW show Riverdale, which is based on the comics, decided that this aspect of his character was not important. For many people, Jughead was the first time they saw a character they could relate to. This could have been the first time many people felt represented by mainstream television. This also could have been a major opportunity for television to break down the stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding asexuality. In choosing the second to last episode, it’s my hope that our messages wont be overshadowed by any season finale press or attention.
The Message: #Riverdale make Jughead asexual in season 2. End the asexual erasure. #AroAceJugheadOrBust
Click here to sign up for the Thunderclap! We need 100 people to sign up or this will not go out, so please spread the word!
*We need 250 people this time, ignore the typo at the bottom.
We have met and exceeded our goal! Let’s keep it going!
Just hours left and we’re almost at 400! Can we get there before tonight?

Upcoming projects:
-Mid-Season Thunderclap -Compile a list of news outlets for aspec submissions
So what exactly did the thunderclap accomplish?
It did several things!1. It allowed people who may not have been able to post during the episode/people who may have forgotten to post, to still spread the message.2. Because this spanned three social media platforms, it had a massive reach to friends and followers who may have become more aware or informed after seeing those messages.3. When you looked in the #Riverdale tag on Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook during that episode, it was flooded with our message! Even if they haven't really acknowledged our presence, it's impossible to miss.
i think something we can do is write or email queer media outlets (and media outlets that have reported on it before, like teen vogue, who has been huge in advocating for it, refinery 49, mtv, and any others) about the erasure/aphobic issues/other queer rep (betty and veronica, kevin, etc) or whatever we want to regarding this issue, and mention the hashtag, so maybe they can pick up the stories, or we can write/submit stories ourselves? i think a list of places to pitch things to w emails or
(Continued) where we can write and submit our own articles (Even better!), that'd be hella cool. that's my suggestion!------I love this idea! I'll definitely work on compiling a list. I think it could be great for all purposes to have a list of places to submit articles or news tips. If anyone already has contact information or submission links, please feel free to send them my way.
i think it'd be cool to do so mid-season, like ep 6 or 7, because that way we hopefully won't be overshadowed by the season finale and some media outlets may pick it up. plus that gives writers time to consider writing aroace jughead for season 2. Don't wanna leave it too late and have em drag it out to season 3. but it has to be big, i think, like at least 2000 peeps to get it trending. hopefully that gives us enough time! obviously it's up to you, this is just my idea :) much <3
That's a great idea! I'm going to start working on a mid season campaign.
I have heard your thoughts! I will have more responses coming soon.

Platonic love is not a runner up to romantic love. Platonic love isn’t second place. Platonic love isn’t less real, less valid or less powerful than romantic love. Don’t let your platonic love take a back seat to romantic love.
Neurodivergent aces+aros of color are great and amazing. You’re all wonderful and deserve the world

We had a great success with the Thunderclap campaigns for episode two! The first had 361 supporters with a social reach audience of 104,812. And the second, 251 supporters with a social reach audience of 278,570. But what's next? I'm going to create another Thunderclap campaign soon, but I think I'm going to set this one to go out for the finale. That way we have longer to gain supporters and we won't wear out the technique by doing it every week. I know everyone will keep tweeting every week, but I’m wondering if theres something more we can do. Any ideas?
Busting Misconceptions about Asexuality!
I’m back! And I’ve got a new camera and a new mic I’m trying to figure out (sorry if the audio is still a little weird, I’m working on it!)
So yeah. These are specifically the misconceptions that bug me the most, rather than the most common ones? Though they are pretty common. And yes, I’ve covered these issues in other videos but I hope it doesn’t just sound like I’m repeating myself.

that ace feel before you know you’re ace
“of course I feel attraction– I want to hang out with this specific person and get to know them; if that’s not attraction, what is?”
The first thunderclap hit and the second will go out in about ten minutes! Thank you everyone for giving me this opportunity to try and impact our community for the better. Together we will make change happen!
