one of the things i've been really enjoying about robbie's performance is that he's clearly portraying a classic male lone wolf archetype with his character - guy with a wolf companion lives in the woods and barely talks to people, drinks to forget the mistakes of his past, gruff voice, big, buff. but robbie makes it abundantly clear that this guy is also a good amount of a cringefail loser. he climbs through windows instead of using doors, eats with his hands, makes a dramatic entrance and then stumbles because he drank too much. and for me that's integral to enjoy a character like that. yes, he's grizzled and badass and a loner, but he's also a complete and utter loser (affectionate).

maybe i like my tech a little bit inconvenient

maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.
