It's been two months since I posted anything on my autoimmune Instagram account. 😖 I apologize! Life has been insanely busy, and I don't remember ever having so many things to do. One thing I finally could accomplish was getting more testing done. 💉 I fought hard to get my thyroid checked again, even if it just meant showing I still don't need treatment. I also got a referral for nutritional counseling, due to my weight gain. The best part is, the nutritionist is a certified diabetes educator, and knows Type 1 Diabetes well! I am hopeful that this will help lead to an easier adjustment to my autoimmune diseases. It's almost 2:30 in the morning, and I've been awake for about 45 minutes due to pain. After yesterday's doctor visit and now not being able to sleep because of pain, I expect today to be hard. But I've got these two to help me make through each day. My partner and I have been together for almost 3.5 years, and my pup has been in my life for almost 6 months! These two give me a lot of strength when I feel so exhausted. They are some of the biggest joys in my life. Just gotta keep pushing on. OH MAN, YOU GUYS, I HAD TO FIGHT A DOCTOR TO GET THOSE T3 and T4 LAB ORDERS. The doctor's visit today was my all time worse doctor experience I've ever had. I felt belittled, dumb, paranoid, and like I was an over-exaggerator. The doctor pretty much blamed my symptoms on possible depression, pregnancy, and sleep disorder. I know I am suffering from none of those conditions, but she wanted me to see sleep evaluation completed, a pregnancy test done, and a depression evaluation done. Like WHAT? I just need help navigating the diagnosis I just got, which the doctor said could just stay stable. She also said there's nothing I can do about the goiter (enlargement of my thyroid). After pushing her for an hour, she reluctantly ordered the other labs, but I have to wait a while before I can complete them. Small step in the right direction.
