Some crow turned asunder

I sat in front of my laptop And searched for the key to happiness. Literally. I Googled the question And in point-fifty-six seconds I had four-hundred and six million results To choose from and Figured it would just be  Easier to turn my laptop off And go grab an Ice cream. 

I don't want to be clever, I want to be naked.

It doesn't matter How perfect you are if you're Unavailable.

Find me a person Who doesn't care about you Not keeping your word, And I'll show you a person Who doesn't care About you.

Today, I was enough.  I brought my heart Shallow with courage To the palms of the day and it softly murmured “This will do”. I am but a slice of bread To the loafs around And yet you found me Satisfying. How lovely it is, To be Of use.

In a better or worse world, I'd still choose you.

It's my own little hell Loving you. It's like I'm perpetually mowing a lawn And it grows faster than I can go through it, All while I'm completely naked And allergic to grass. Our fights are like Debates over the oxford comma; We're both right, But it's not about who's correct, It's about making sure you understand My point. Beating it down Like kneaded bread, But never coming out As good. Finding an excuse to pour My words out like an alcoholic. "It's zero o' clock somewhere!" I yell as I write another midnight poem About how I miss you laying on me As I run my fingers over your skin Like a run-on sentence and drag It out like the cigarettes I used to smoke Just for you. You could be an entire dictionary. I'd do anything to have An entire language devoted to how Much I loathe that you once came through Like a train at a railroad crossing And convinced me that I could ever Get you to stop. I wish flowers didn't smell like you.

Her fingers Gasp For my Skin, And I, All the more Willing To let her Breathe.

Perfect doesn't mean Shit if I can't be with you. I wish that was true.

I have been in love, But no one has ever truly loved me. I’ve been needed like air, And caged like a bird, And admired like a painting, But I have never been gently unrooted From the comfort of my ground, And nestled firmly into their own soil. I only wish to be Cared for warmly; To belong amongst Your garden.
