Fic: If only there was one bed

In bed. When Paul thinks about his friendship with John, that’s how he pictures them: in bed. Sneaking up the stairs after a gig, trying not to wake his dad up before tumbling into Paul’s tiny bed in Forthlin Road. A single bed in Paris, five feet away from the lav, but the height of luxury to them. Then there were the other nights, like when Julia died, and Paul was so terrified of leaving John alone in that state, that he just stayed. When Paul woke up in the night to feel someone taking hold of his hand, and he squeezed back. And on tour of course. Four Beatles, two rooms, and in each room, more often than not: one bed. He’s got used to it, is the point.

A little one-shot to get me back into writing, and yet another fill for the 'reverse only one bed' prompt.

I got a Paul notebook for fic planning, an 80s Paul print to go above my desk to gaze at lovingly instead of working, and a cute little now and then sticker which I'm being indecisive about where to put but will look GREAT wherever it ends up. It's all super lovely!!
