I dreamt of you lying on a candy-apple red couch with a tall, elegant back. As I stood there, you looked at me and invited me to join you. I slipped in behind you, gently kissed the back of your neck, and wrapped my arms around you, holding you close. In that embrace, everything felt safe, secure, and complete.
You leaned back against me, and in a whisper, you said, "Take me." Drawn together by longing, we surrendered to the moment. Our bodies radiated warmth, as though we carried the heat of a glowing hearth. The more we held each other, the more the boundaries between us seemed to dissolve, until it felt as if we were wrapped within a single cocoon. In that dream, we underwent a quiet metamorphosis, no longer two separate souls, but one.
