Found: a draft copy of an essay, “Concerning the Marvelous,” by the American poet Marianne Moore about MoMA’s Fantastic Art, Dada and Surrealism show in 1936-1937. Not sure if it was published anywhere? Anyone know? Excellent little aphorism shown in detail here, “An art movement is like a revolutionary political organisation, —immediately in anarchy with itself.” -ds
We’re diving into our vast media archive, bringing you something wonderful and inspiring to listen to every week! Our most recent selection is an artist talk from 1986 with Richard Avedon, a photographer who revolutionized the genre of portraiture. Enjoy!
If you are in Brussels don't miss the beautiful exhibition of Duane Hanson at the Musée d'Ixelles. His pieces are so amazingly troubling as they are so realistic.

Vilde Rolfsen, Plastic Bag Landscapes, 2014
Ongoing project, where I use light and colored background to make plastic bags look magical. Creating a landscape within the plastic bag. Plastic bags are a huge contributor to the landfill waste, and are extremely harmful for our oceans and the creatures living there. Do not say yes to a plastic bag when shopping. These plastic bags were found in the street.

Beautiful piece of French Artist Louis Cyprien Rials -
PAR UNE PLUIE VIOLENTE ET PAR DES PIERRES DE GRÊLES, APOCALYPSE 13, photographie, 60x45 cm, 2007
Young belgian photographer Augustin Delloye - Main piece for his exhibition "Marine" at Pannonica Gallery
The title of this exhibition is Marine
These works suggest, through motions and without really defining them, the emotional stepping stones of a relationship. Marine is a reference to the sea and to a girl by the same name.
