Happy new year!! As he has been thrown (and named!!), Fleance the Fat Fuck can be posted!!
I made him as a christmas present for my partner and due to friend group shenanigans I only gave him to them last night, by throwing him at their head as all good partners do
He took me ~2 days to make, and he’s entirely hand sewn! I am very proud of him
He’s intended to be the giant flea from silksong but I am not good at sewing patterns
His name, Fleance, is a many-layered pun and Shakespeare reference by my partner who is very clever (fly, Fleance, fly!)
(P.s. he’s weighted and has a heat pack inside for said weight and also to be optionally warm!! I sewed a zipper for the first time with this project I am very proud)

The blue tiefling is my Clockwork Soul Sorcerer, Effie! She’s also the purple dragon in the WOF sketches. The others there with her are Edeltraud (grey-blue, seawing) and Fyodor (light blue, nightwing). They’re from the same campaign, I’ll post about everyone there soon hopefully!
The other dnd characters in here will get an intro when I finish that damn ref but they’re all player characters from a TMA ttrpg my partner’s running :>

Like most things I start, the Whispers of Nothing AU has remained in my head, with several unfinished refs sitting on my iPad and a few scattered moments I could hardly call a plot gathering dust in the back of my mind. As a sorry for having this project go the way of the dinosaurs, I figured I’d write/draw what I do have (you probably won’t get full ref sheets because Scar’s was so complex and I realised quickly while working on Gem that I couldn’t keep up that level of detail, but I will draw all the characters I have designs of!)
Speaking of: A bit of writing and a quick Grian sketch under the break!! Have fun :3 My writing isn’t the best after high school and the several year-long break I’ve taken from fics but I’m happy with this.
For all you desertduo lovers, I was listening to Casual by Chappell Roan while writing this. This interaction is so not romantic (only really barely platonic tbh) but I find it very funny

So I kept drawing today (to the point I had to stop before colouring to rest my eyes because they weren't focusing) and now have a Scar ref sheet!! :D Gem's next, but probably won't be started tmr because of uni and work >:/

The idea for scar's prosthetics comes from a post by @tobuzzu!! It's insanely cool, I hope I'm allowed to do that
In case you can't read the text (it is quite small), from left to right we have: - Impulse (Sandwing/Mudwing hybrid) - Skizz (Seawing/Mudwing hybrid) - Grian (Rainwing) - Gem (Rainwing/Leafwing hybrid) - Scar (Leafwing)
They're all unrelated but Impulse and Skizz share a backstory I haven't fully written yet!!
They'll get fullbody references soonish, these drawings are posed more for character + anatomy practice than ref quality.
Calling this the Whispers of Nothing AU! Atm it has kinda a zombie apocalypse vibe, and will have some mcd (Major character death) so pls be aware of that lmao (yes this is related to my Actuallyinfected post :)

For context as to what the colouring is with the sketches, because they’re not usually hugely recognisable I colour-code characters and then matched the background/other elements to the video, like the frog Gem is killing, piglin Skizz is killing, and the sand in the Earth Trial sketch.
