I love what I came up with for Vert’s and Zoom’s designs! They are so my favorites beside Sherman and Agura (and yes, I changed both Zoom and Agura’s designs)

Love how emo he is, also I don’t know what his symbol is in the show.

Dose vert desver 2 have one the few nice things from his past or did he fuck shit up when he invited aj along for like 1 Misson btw

while having vert's friendship with aj be obliterated a la "any normal person introduced to heroism/vigilantism has their life irreversibly ruined in dc" would be very funny, vert's safe for now. unfortunately.

aj's introduction line being 'anything in the world for you, man' is horrifically earnest. and i think he means it. again: unfortunately.

i wov aj. you can't tell tho because out of everyone in the cast i gave aj one of the most stable homelives and decent relationships with his family, which i think suits him given what we see of him on screen. he feels like someone who went to therapy and then continued going even after the initial issue was addressed, processed, and resolved. he's going more for vert in spirit at this point lmao

what sets him apart is that i almost think of aj as a 'part-time' member of battleforce, as opposed to someone wholly devoted rooted-up-their-lives-and-gave-up-everything for the cause.

i think vert definitely regrets introducing aj to the bf5 and the conflicts that exist beyond earth - for multiple reasons. aj isn't the kind of person to let those worries, guilt, whatever, get in the way of his friendship with vert. it's clearly a long-established connection they have, i hc they were childhood friends (aj happened to move around a lot, but they kept in touch,) and vert isolates aj in his mind as one of the few tethers he has to his modest life in handler's corner. the part of his life that isn't about being a hero, fighting alien races, handling technology beyond his comprehension, and shoulder multiversal hardship/responsibility.

aj gets to go back to his normal life after helping the bf5 out. that is its own kind of horror and mindfuck for aj, but he gets breaks and gets to restabilize himself. always has stable ground, a steady living, a home and family to return to. i think aj enjoys being a point of stability for vert too, in lieu of being able to shoulder any of vert's emotional burden.

as of right now im more interested in aj's relationship with other members of the team, i havent sat down and thought about him too much yet in how all these elements build him up as a character in my head. mostly because it felt like there wasnt much to go off in the show he was kind of painted as this slower, impulsive replacement for the buster tank + didn't even get to help out in the ice-themed episodes he was initially called in for.

i have a lot of trouble navigating fandom spaces so i don't really know what the general opinion is of him either to help form an opinion.

which is fine by me! ill figure it out eventually, but right now he's got 'emotionally competent' stamped across his forehead and ive got him pinned like a bug in my entomotaxy room. more thoughts pending, maybe. i need to draw him more

I am imagining a scene where the last episode of season 2 where Sage "died" and Vert is the first to scream while others are... Standing there...

I want to see them cry and hold her hands telling her "don't leave us" and holding her tight. Krytus done with his speech. He step back feeling the Bf5's eyes glaring at him like a knight who lost their princess.

They began to attack Krytus with all their might and destroying his shell and the red sentient 5 but...

Sage didn't return to life. She literally died and when they knew they lost her. They started a revenge war on the red sentient population and found a way to torture Krytus and his team.

Their personality change, they become cold, calculated and no mercy that Zemerick and Kallus become afraid of them.

This scene in particular really stood out to me, so I decided to redraw it in my own style
