You can apply a second coat of resin if you need to fix a mistake or a surface imperfection.⁣ ⁣ You can also pour multiple layers if you need to cover areas of high relief, if you're pouring into a mold or if you simply like the look of a thicker coat.⁣ ⁣ CLICK THE LINK IN OUR BIO TO WATCH 😊 ⁣ It's important to remember that the ideal ArtResin pour is 1/8" : if you pour any thicker than this, you may end up with trapped bubbles in your cured resin that weren't able to escape to the top to get torched out. The colder weather months are here for many of us so we wanted to give a friendly reminder that epoxy resin and cold weather are not friends 😉 . You’ll know your resin is too cold when it’s thick, hard to work with. and cloudy looking due to 1000s of teeny-tiny microbubbles which you’ll never be able to torch out. Cold resin will also take far longer to cure. . For a perfect ArtResin cure: - Make sure your resin is at least room temperature ( you can even give your unopened bottles of resin and hardener a warm water bath BEFORE you measure and mix. ) Be aware that since heat accelerates curing, warming your resin reduces working time by about 10 minutes. . - Ensure all your tools are at room temperature: cold tools can shock your resin. . - Make sure your resin room is at least 72-77F/23-25C and that it remains at this temperature for the first 24 hrs or you may end up with dimples in your cured resin. .
