I should have made this post years ago but now I've got too much work on my hands. You can ask anyone who has worked with me in the past, I'm a nice dude and a good teacher. I've taught countless people how to edit, color correct, plan for a shoot, cinematography, etc etc. We just finished our first feature film and have just started submitting to film festivals. We also just shot the first season of our new show- Lost Boyz. For now this position is an unpaid internship, but if you do a good job, you will be the first person hired. Art of the Story is just getting started, I've got huge plans and am extremely proud of how Lacrimosa and Lost Boyz turned out. Responsibilities include- editing/stop motion/color correction/ office duties like phone calls and emails. Office duty can be done from home but if you want to learn how to edit or any other part of the film production process I'm more than happy to teach you. My office is in Los Feliz. I witnessed the birth of a deaf village on my first visit to Haiti. Strung together from the fragments of the earthquake it became a beautiful symbol of what was possible… Now I know the impossible depths of evil. Here is the story as I have been told: This tragedy began during the afternoon of Friday, March 18, 2016, when the bridge collapsed, claiming the lives of at least seven Haitians. The three deaf women behind the bridge were Monique, Vanessa and Sophonie, who had gone to Port au Prince to purchase supplies. Following the bridge collapse, after walking for hours, it became dark and the ladies knew it was not safe to be out that late. Tired and loaded with their purchased wares, they sought shelter in a home that looked safe. We can only imagine how creative they must have been as they communicated with some hearing women who answered their knocks on the door. At some point, several men came to the house or were already there. They attacked the ladies, with possible motives of robbery, rape or both. We do know they were beaten, stabbed several times and then burned. When the neighbors saw the men burning the bodies, witnesses called the police. The police came and were able to arrest several of the perpetrators and two or three fled. The police began searching for their identities, having no idea they were deaf. Finally, from some of those they arrested, they learned the ladies were deaf, which narrowed the search, and they were able to speak to others in the Leveque deaf community to confirm their identities.
