💛🖤 WHEN WE KISS 🖤💛 Today I have Axelle and Victor from my Novel for you. I had a couple of ideas for them based on some songs and this is the first one that I finished. It started out as a sketch and I polished it a bit. The song When We Kiss perfectly describes their feelings for each other at the end of the 1st book. Things are VERY complicated between them. Someone loves to mess with them. Unfortunately I can't tell you more about that because it would spoil a lot. If I ever get to write that 2nd novel then there is potential for so much more drama and spice... 🤧

Did a poll in my Instagram where people could decide what theme, creature etc. I should draw. Mermaid, Ghost and Frankenstein Monster all had a tie, so I decided to mix it!

Finally posting the last character that I joined Art Fight with, and unfortunately, this one didn't get any attacks, which is a shame 🚮 Calisto is from a story that I can kinda describe as a fantasy distopia where winter is eternal. They work as an assassin to earn money to pay off surgery for their transition, but both money and a doctor for a surgery are hard to find. So, in the end Calisto seems far away from their goal, until they receive an offer, that might change everything. When setting out to get the job done, to get rid of the son of a high ranking politician, a young woman joins their mission. Calisto realizes that the girl must come from a rich family, which is why they don't like her first. But over the course of their journey, they start to understand each other much better 😉 if you know me, you know where this is going. Tbh, the whole vibe for Calisto probably was "hairrrrrr" I hope I can dig into this story again soon, I was prepping to begin writing a draft. 🫠

🌌 Lord Ashton 🏹 Another one of my Characters I am taking part with in #ArtFight ! He's from a sci-fi story about three sisters, who have to go on different journeys to defend their planet against a galactic emperor. Ashton is from the middle sister's, Liirah's, plot line. He comes to her planet, to marry her younger sister, Jillian, to solve political tensions between the family, the planet and the emperor, since Ashton's father works for him. It is Liirah who catches his interest, however. Wild Liirah, who hates to be a perfect lady. Liirah, who at night becomes a thief, helping the rebels on the planet. Unknowingly, he joins the hunt for her and learns more about the Sheriff of the city, who is also hunting that mischievous thief. Ashtons, Liirah's and the Sheriff's story is inspired by the tales of Robin Hood (which I LOVEEEEEEE AHH) and Ash is representing the Maid Marian character. I also want to explore a polyamorous relationship 👀 This story is not yet as much developed, like, I want it to age a bit like fine wine. That's why his design is not yet 100% locked in. I've been thinking to work on something, to give proper introductions to all my stories, so my yapping about them makes more sense to you in the future 😆

🕯️ Lydia 🕯️ Lydia is from a story that I recently started to think about. I was mainly inspired by the harsh coastal setting of northern France and paranormal stories. She comes to a small town known for its haunted castle on the sea, to find out more about the past of her family, as she works as a governess for the town's priest's younger children. Of course, she dives deeper into the town's past once she received one of the famous scarlet letters, which are sent out by the ghostly lord of the castle... I'm currently in the brainstorming phase, which I really enjoy at the moment, since the novel I am writing is currently in a stage that doesn't allow much for playing with ideas. This is also one of the characters, that I will take part in #ArtFight with! A bit scared about that tho 🫣

And here she is, Yūka, Axelle's best friend. When I did the new version of Axelle's Illustration I thought, it would be cool to do a companion piece with Yūka, with the same design elements.

Again we have a very romantic magical girl vibe going on. Yūka has a slight colder color scheme, because she does have ice magic. There are things happening to her, which leads her to become the moon to Axelle's sun. That's why the moon and stars are in her border and the water is a reference to her own love interest 👀

She's a bit difficult to write, because she is determined but is put into a situation she doesn't like. Her side of the story covers most of the mystery and secrecy stuff, which I find very difficult to write. I find Axelle's easier to write, since it's the "main" plot and there is a lot of romance going on and there is hardly any right now for Yūka 😢 There is just small build up, since all of that will happen more in the continuation.

*sigh* I really hope I can write said continuation at some point.

It has been some time since I posted something, so today I have something special 😚 This piece is the remake of a piece I did in like 2019, which I never uploaded because I never really liked it. You never really see how much you improved unless you redo an old piece 🧐 (but tbh, I thought the original was even older)

Here you see the main character of my novel, Axelle. I wanted to give her a romantic, magical girl vibe for her illustration. You can see her use her powers, but let me just say, it's not light powers per se, but related to it. The borders represent her and her love interest 😊😉 I want to tell more about her and other characters in the future with sketches and/or illustrations, although I will probably do a small social media hiatus first.

Her best friend might follow soon... stay tuned 👀

Finally uploading this piece that has been collecting dust since months 🫥 those two are also from one of my ideas, but I haven't worked on that one for quite some time now. When it comes to solving storytelling problems, I currently struggle with inspiration. Guess I am partly going through some kind of writing/art block.
