Well.

A great deal of life changes have occured over the past two months. I am becoming moreof a freelancer, which definitely means trying to reassess my daily focus to work and how to properly fit in all aspects of my life where I need them to be.

I will be on tumblr far less and probably spend any gunpla posting energy on my IG and TT (both @artiebuilds btw).

I super appreciate all the support tumblr has given me, I just cannot keep up with so many socials including the socials I need for my other business, I get too tired 😅

i did a quick build live on tiktok last night and then decided homeboy needed paint detailing. "just a little."

this morning i spent like 4-5hrs painting this lil guy's armor and having a blast with it. "just a little."

GUNDAM AERIAL IRIS

Happy Pride! I've been messing around with air brushed gradients recently and thought it would be really fun to do a full rainbow gradient build for pride month. I've also been wanting to get my hands on the KOSMOS LED kits for a while so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do both. It took me a little longer than anticipated to finish but art is art and it will happen on it's own schedule. This custom variant is named for the goddess of rainbows in Greek Mythology. She also happens to show up in The Tempest, from which G-witch pulled a lot of names, so it seemed like the perfect fit.

it has been nearly a week since i started him. one of my daily tenants is to create, and usually i do so by building. recently i have been creating in other ways such as baking or making posters for my partner and i to decorate our walls. i am not sure why i felt some kind of way about building. it wasn't burn out or anything like that. almost imposter syndrome about doing what i like to do? i am not sure, but man, brains can be silly.

will probably finish this guy today tbh. wanna get back into it.

this month has been one of my worst months of existence, and not only did i finally feeling more whole again today, but i finished him, my *phoenix inspired* SD Wing Zero Custom.

he is my first scribing project and has flaws. and that is totally okay with me.

i am going to finish posting about him and then go cry all my emotions out.

i wanted my next build to include working on scribing.

so i am customizing a wing zero custom sd build, prepared to fuck it up because it is my first time doing this 😅😅

aaaaand yeah i am using a seam ripper to scribe. it was easier to hold and control than my partner's pin vice 🤣

air brushing as a concept terrified me when i first started [seven weeks ago!] now it is no biggie at all.

except for waiting on things to cure before next layer or before a build. patience is necessary for this hobby.

i needed this hobby for so many reasons. it heals my soul.
