As depressing as this shit is it makes me feel better about dealing with the cringe af heteronormative behavior in Stranger Things fandom cuz I’m realizing it’s just gonna be a universal experience forever in media until the day I die because why did I just leave Spider-Man: Brand New Day feeling all kinds of great about the relationship between Peter and Jean Grey feeling so sibling coded — AND the the fact that they emphasized the familial connection with him “giving” her his memory of Aunt May only to get on TT and see TONS of edits and hundreds of comments about how everyone can’t wait for them to end up together 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩 I really hate it here when will we ever get good Male / Female platonic rep. If Marvel even hints at these two romantically I’ll scream LET BOYS AND GIRLS BE FUCKING FRIENDS GODDAMN

Thinking about how I believed Mike Wheeler being confused for four seasons straight was gonna pay off cuz he was gonna be overloaded with information and revelations in S5 that bring him into the story as more than an observer. But then no matter what ANYONE told him he just kept repeating “I don’t understand” or staring blankly at people like his heads full of cotton balls, like my guy you haven’t understood anything since 1984 imma need you to catch the fuck up. This empty headed nonsense is NOT cute when we’re in the home stretch and this series is about to end with you acting like the Ken doll from Toy Story.
